Chapter Twenty - Raina I had the best day with Victoria . She was so fun and made me feel so welcomed . She had a spitfire attitude that went with her deep red hair perfectly . Spending the day with her just doing normal girl things was a breath of fresh air . I hadn't felt this carefree in a long time and wanted to hold on to this feeling for as long as possible . Even Weather had a good time , telling me which pieces looked good and which ones I should put back . Victoria insisted on me getting some dressier clothes for going out . She was planning a trip for all of us to go to a local club this weekend to celebrate my coming to live at their pack . I'd never been to a club or bar before and was looking forward to the experience . As I put away my new clothes , I came across the lingerie Victoria made me buy . While most pieces were for everyday use , a few were more on the sexier side . Of course Weather had to go and put all kinds of illicit thoughts in my head of wearing them for Xander . Not like I had a desire to wear them for anyone else . Victoria made me buy everything I could possibly need so I decided to throw away my old ratty clothes since I wouldn't be needing them anymore . We even went to the beauty salon and got me a haircut . I loved my long hair so I only had the girl take off a couple inches to make it feel healthier . The girls there then helped me pick out makeup and showed me what colors to use to make my blue eyes pop even more . All in all , it was a great day . Darren and Apollo coming with us didn't bother me as much as I thought it would . Knowing Darren was Kimberly's brother didn't change the way I felt about him . He was definitely the more serious of the two but was also very polite and the first one to offer to carry the bags . Apollo was more outgoing but knew when to put that aside and be serious . I could see why those two were Xander's most trusted warriors . I felt safe with them . After putting away my new wardrobe I decided to take a bath . I planned on wearing one of my new outfits for dinner tonight and didn't want to get my freshly styled hair wet . I filled the tub with lavender oil and a floral scented bath bomb before climbing in once the water was full . Putting away the clothes took about an hour so I knew I had another before I needed to get ready for dinner . Weather and I were looking forward to training tomorrow . We picked out tons of leggings and sports bras and a new pair of tennis shoes I'd use just for training . While Weather longed to fight in her wolf form , we'd have to do that part in secret . While my father had us training as soon as we could walk , training by myself for the past ten years wasn't as effective . Once the water turned cold , I hopped out and dried off with one of the plush towels before putting on a robe . There was a small vanity table in the bathroom with a lit up mirror where I placed all the skincare and makeup products I got today . Thankfully the lady at the beauty salon taught me how to hide my dark circles better using a salmon colored cream to cancel out the darkness . The salmon tint helped hide the darkness lining my eyes better than I thought it would . I topped it with a light concealer before adding some bronzer to my face and blush to my cheeks . My skin was creamy and blemish free so I stayed away from any foundation . It wasn't much but I never was a fan of wearing a lot of makeup . As I looked in the mirror , I was pleased with my appearance . My cheeks were a rosy pink and the blue in my eyes stood out against the dark liner . My lashes looked long and were curled perfectly . Damn , I did good . I left the bathroom and made my way to the walk in closet that housed my new wardrobe . After deciding on a simple light blue sundress with thin straps , I looked in the body length mirror , liking the way the sundress highlighted my curves and brought out the light blue tones in my eyes . While I was bustier than most she wolves , I loved it . My breasts were bigger than most and hips wider but I still had a flat stomach . I'm sure with my training I'd become more toned and was looking forward to seeing how my body would change . After putting on a cute pair of white tennis shoes , I was ready to go . Just then , a knock sounded at my door . I opened it to Xander leaning against the door frame looking mouth watering good . His hair looked messy and the scent of the forest mixed with his already intoxicating scent , letting me know he had been on a run , most likely in his wolf form . I still didn't know the name of his wolf but I remember how beautiful he was - gray like the storms I so often caused . I was broken from my thoughts when he groaned . " Are you trying to kill me ? " I cocked my head at him in confusion . " Did I do something wrong ? " " No you didn't . " He shook his head like he was clearing his thoughts and said , " That dress looks stunning on you . ' I felt myself blush , hoping the pink color I already had on my cheeks covered it . " Thank you . You look very handsome . " He flashed me one of his smirks and asked , " Ready for dinner ? " Once I nodded , I stepped out from my bedroom , fighting back a giggle as I noticed him subtly adjust himself in his slacks . " Seems our mate likes the dress . " snickered Weather , basking in the effect we had on Xander . He led me down to the lower level and into the dining room . Yes , he was definitely trouble . " Let's all take our seats . " I was relieved when Xander broke the tension . I followed him over to the table and was surprised when he pulled out the seat to the right of the head of the table for me . Typically , that was where the Luna sat . Since Xander didn't have one , Micah probably sat there . Ignoring the knowing smirk on Victoria's face , I took my seat . Micah sat on the chair beside me while Liam was across from me with Victoria next to him . I could smell steak , roasted potatoes , and a mix of vegetables . The server placed a plate in front of Xander first before placing one in front of me . The small piece of filet topped with a red wine sauce looked incredible and smelled even better . Roasted garlic potatoes and asparagus occupied the other half of the plate . Xander's plate held a larger piece of steak , him needing more protein than I. Once everyone was served , Xander started cutting his steak , leaving the rest of us to begin eating as well . " Weather swooned in my head , knowing if we said no , he would have shut Victoria's idea down . The weekend was only a few days away and I was looking forward to going to the club .
