Chapter 4 Six weeks later Naomi was a bundle of nerves. Although she had spoken to him everyday, she had not seen Alpha Theon since her birthday. She had a few more weeks of classes to finish up and Theon had some pack affairs to attend to out of the country. They had agreed when both were finished in 6 weeks they would meet back at the Pack and hold the mating ceremony in front of everyone where she would be declared his true mate and the Pack's Luna. It was a big responsibility, and it has come as a shock at first but having this time before going home had really helped Naomi become more focused and also do what she did best. Read books on the subject and then make a plan about how to tackle it. She had been devouring book and articles on what made a good Luna and what to do in different scenarios. The current Luna, her soon to be mother-in-law would be handling all the preparations at the pack and all Naomi needed to do was arrive the day before the ceremony and buy a pretty dress to wear. That part she could do. Naomi had been greeted at the airport by her brother Rhys. Although he has been excited and enthusiastic to see Naomi she felt that there was something missing in him. Like he was a little flat, was he hiding that something was wrong? Naomi felt uneasy all the way to the pack lands and as they started driving through the town this sense of unease within her grew and grew. Naomi saw people she knew in the streets as they drove and waved to them but she felt like no one was quite meeting her eyes. As they pulled up at her home Naomi was surprised as Theon had said weeks ago he would be there to greet her as he was so excited to see her again. Maybe he is already inside as it's a hot day, she thought to herself. Upon entering the house there was no one else inside. The unease in Naomi was growing into a sense of panic. Something was going on. "Rhys, where is Theon?" Naomi asked her brother. Her brother looked a little shifty "He's been delayed. He will be back tomorrow" "oh okay" Naomi replied. She had no idea why, if that was all that was going on, why her brother felt like he hadn't wanted to answer her question. "Are you going back to work?| I need to go buy a dress" she said. "Yeah" now her brother wouldn't quite look at her. "Maybe just don't go all out on the dress, you're only wearing it one night" he said then kissed her on top her head and walked out. As this was probably one of the most special things that will ever happen to her, her brothers dismissal of the importance of the dress felt cold and unfeeling to her. Naomi was starting to wonder if she had done something wrong that she wasn't aware of. Instead of pondering on it she went out shopping instead
