Chapter 47 Theon walked into the house two minutes later to find Naomi sat in the bottom step of the stairs. When he closed the door behind him she flung herself from the step into his arms. "I don't know where she is!" she cried. "Her phone and her shoes are still here so I don't think she went for a walk. She wouldn't leave without leaving a note either!" Naomi was spiralling a bit and Theon held her face in his hands and looked her in the eye. "Breath babe" he said "Freaking out isn't going to get us far. Let's take a moment and look at her room and see if we can figure anything out." They both walked upstairs into the guest room. The bed was unmade so Lottie had definitely gone for a lie down but her suitcase was still zipped up in the corner, the shoes she'd worn to travel in were next to the bed and her phone was on the nightstand. The glass of water she had taken up with her was empty. "Well she was here long enough that she drank all the water" Theon pointed out. "Actually, the door banging woke me" Naomi mused "So if that only started a few minutes ago then that's probably when it was left open. I didn't hear a car or anything." The house was in a very quiet and fairly empty neighbourhood, if there had been a car it would have been loud. The pair of them went out into the back yard to see if that would yield any clues. "Okay, well the lock and the handle look fine" Theon said puzzled so I don't know how anyone got it open without damaging it "Unless they had magic," said Naomi. She sniffed the air. "I can smell it, and I can smell witches. But not Lucy. Another scent. Still horrible though" she said wrinkling her nose. Theon secretly marvelled at this again. He couldn't smell a thing and he had the most sensitive nose in the pack and here was Naomi looking like someone had just put a rotten egg in her face it was so pungent to her. When they had the time, he really wanted to explore all her tricks and talents. "I can't tell which way it went" she said with a slight edge of panic in her voice. "What do we do now?" "Honestly, I'm not sure" answered Theon "How does it work when you have visions? Can you, I don't know force them?" "No" Naomi responded. "That's something only seers can do. I think that was the ritual Lottie had planned. In fact... I wouldn't be surprised if the witches knew and took her. Maybe they have their own seer?" "I really hope not" said Theon "What if that means they know what you are, and that they know their secrets have been discovered? That could force their hand, and they may do something drastic." Naomi's eyes went wide with panic. "My brother!" she exclaimed "We need to get to the hospital now!" They both raced around to the car at the front of the house and sped of to the hospital. When they go there, they rushed to Rhys's hospital room. His bed was empty. But the room was not. Lucy was sat in the chair next to the bed.
