Chapter 11- Why does my heart feel like it survived a marathon ? +8 Points You know that moment we all have in our lives , when the person you like or you are interested in walks in , and your friends act like they're from another planet , like , communicating with weird hand gestures , alien code - words and big Cheshire cat grins that hardly fit their faces . Basically , the one moment when you want to seriously murder them with your thoughts . And it's also the moment , I thought I'd never have to face after I graduated . Apparently not . Currently , I was busy hiding my face behind the restruant menu , trying to ignore that the two weird ladies sitting in front of me , making incoherent sounds and giggling and indiscreetly whispering were somehow not associated to me . " Oh my god , he's here , Sophia , look Austin's here ! He's talking to some business associates..I think . " Trish whispered , giggling a little . " Do you want me to call him ? " Aerin asked . " Oh no ! Don't . Then , it'll seem as if she was eyeing him for a while and is desperate to meet him . " " You're right .. but oh my god I want to see the look on his face , when he comes and sees her , he'd be delighted . I can tell he likes her . " Aerin conspiratorily whispered . There was a pause . " Wait , who is that little spider monkey ? " Trish gasped . " Must be some associate … why is she trying to climb all over him ? Give him space , does this woman know no concept of personal space ? " Aerin muttered . " If she tries to screw my ship , I'm gonna be cutting those claws and those grabby hands off her . " Trish threatened . " Hell yes , aint no one gonna try to mess with Team Auphia . " Oh god . Why do I feel like this a scene straight out from Gossip Girl ? I lowered the menu to my nose and stared at them bewildered . " What is wrong with you two ? Can you both quit talking like I'm not here , sitting right in front of you , while you basically ship me ? " I shook my head as I blushed , looking down at the menu , secretly hoping if it could swallow me from my embarrassment . " I need sane people around me . He did look good in his grey suit , towering over the others as they discussed matters . He looked all business like and powerful . I mentally slapped myself . How much more of a creepy stalker could I be ? I turned my gaze away only to find Trish and Aerin staring at me with creepy matching smiles on their faces . Okay . Now , I'm scared . I raised my eyebrow at them . " What ? " They shook their heads in unison and gave each other some kind of knowing look , which personally was freaking me out . When did they become so telepathic ? The waiter came with our orders and I busied myself by stuffing my face with chicken rather than hear them gossip . My date with food was interrupted by a familiar voice that made butterflies flutter in belly . " Sophia ? " I looked up at Austin with my mouth full with chicken and waved my fork at him as a ' Hi ' . So elegant , Sophia . Aerin looked amused while Trish glared at me , mouthing ' manners ' to me . Austin greeted Trish and Aerin while I quickly swallowed my food and took a big gulp of wine . Austin smiled at us . " So , what brings you here , ladies ? " " Nothing much , we just decided to grab some lunch together , you know . " Trish answered . I saw a tall blonde with a neat bob glare daggers at me from across the room where Austin was previously seated . Oh , looks like spider monkey isn't pleased . I just flashed her a sweet sugary smile and turned my attention back to our table . " Would you like to join us ? " Aerin proposed . Austin shook his head in refusal , flashing me a sorry smile . " Sorry I can't , I wish I could but I have a few business partners over there , so I need to get back to them , but I just dropped by to say ' hi ' . Enjoy the food . I'll see you ladies later . He would always be waiting for me at the door when I stepped inside the house , welcoming me by barking his head off and dancing around my legs , licking me , now I couldn't even hear a whimper . " Tango ? " I whistled . I switched on the light and screamed . Ryan was sitting in my couch waiting patiently for me with a creepy smile on his face . " Welcome back home , sugar . "
