“This is a nice place. Wish we had something .” Sicily commented at the end of our tour of the Factory. She had appeared there, told Laura to call me and then when I got there, she asked, more like demanded, for a tour. “Well, sadly the Factory can’t travel back in time.” I told her. “... well, maybe if I did, but who knows how many problems that would cause?” “I think we would all prefer you not do that.” Sicily said. “And for once I’m a part of that we.” “... So, where is the fissure?” I asked, since Sicily was not bringing it up. “I believed that us ultimates were beyond Time Magic.” Sicily said. “You didn’t read the System files enough.” I told her. “That protection no longer applies above level 10, or if the user has a more advanced version of Time Magic, such as Spiritual Time Magic. Guess who has both.” “... oh. I must not have read that. Sorry.” “Nothing to be sorry for. I know you are busy. All three of you. You fulfill each other. Besides, it doesn't work on you when you three are together, as the continent God rank does come with extra protections. Not that I know all of them.” I told her. “And I didn’t need Time Magic to know what you came here for. You don’t have the time for a pleasure trip. … How does time even work for you? That info is locked behind ultimate, so I don’t know.” “We will see if we can unlock that for you. Have Laura send us the request.” Sicily said. “And why is that information locked, but you can read that you can affect us with Time Magic?” “As I said, I have Spiritual Time Magic. Automatically unlocks the info.” I told her. “That doesn’t sound right.” “A bug in the System. What else is new? Maybe the ‘All-Mighty’ was too lazy to approve things and left auto approval on?” “... sounds like something he would have done.” “Thirteen hundred years and you still haven’t fixed all the problems he left.” I joked. “You really need Tahlia to run through them all. She’ll have them all checked in an hour.” “It might be Joan.” Sicily reasoned. “She looks over the Magic related permissions, except Holy Magic. Maybe she believed that those who have an advanced form of Time Magic and a Perfect System Support should have access.” “Yeah, could be. It really isn’t a bad idea.” I told her. “Ask her about it when you go back.” I eventually got the info on the fissure and returned to the regular world. I then made a battle plan on how to deal with it, and Unika wanted to test out her new bow, so she was coming with me. So as I did my job of popping the fissure and summoning Exodia to fix it, Unika shot the monsters who appeared with her Phoenix Bow. But by the end of it, she was disappointed because only a single S-rank, and three A-ranks, showed up. And while she couldn’t kill the S-ranks with a single arrow, the A-ranks she could. And even the S-rank only took four arrows. So in short, Unika didn’t feel like it was a good test, as she barely empowered her arrows and she didn’t even use any of her Shot skills. And once again, you know what is next. Fissure means a new set and a new set means 10 packs. And today’s set is Primal Origin. Blizzard Thunderbird; Artifact Achilleshield; Gazer Shark; ZS - Vanish Sage; Galaxy Dragon; Scrap Factory; Battlin' Boxer Big Bandage; Hundred-Footed Horror; Dawn Knight Blizzard Thunderbird is … a bit too expensive. Sure you get to special summon 2 monsters, but you have to discard a card and return Blizzard Thunderbird to the hand. And you don’t even get to special summon from the deck, just hand and GY. Artifact Achilleshield is my first Artifact monster. At least I think so. And admittedly, the Artifacts might be interesting, but probably won’t be all that useful. I’ve still yet to run into a situation where someone tries to destroy my set Spells or Traps, so … I mean, I can just normal summon them. Gazer Shark is good. With the right GY setup, it is an instant Rank 5 Xyz. And the setup isn’t even difficult. ZS - Vanish Sage makes Pack tokens. That’s it. The second effect is meaningless. Galaxy Dragon has 2k attack, but it can only attack dragons. So I’m not using it. Scrap Factory is a decent Field Spell. I technically kind of already had one, as I made one myself by combining other spells. I needed one for the Duel Runner Tournament, okay. But now I have the actual card, so that is nice. Battlin' Boxer Big Bandage is okay-ish. Once per turn cannot be destroyed by battle is nice, and the level modulation is sometimes useful. Hundred-Footed Horror is just a big bug. And Dawn Knight either mills a Light monster, or top decks a light monster. Neither are effects I really need. Ghostrick Doll; Gimmick Puppet Des Troy; Last Counter; ZW - Sleipnir Mail; Condemned Maiden; Galaxy Mirror Sage; Battlin' Boxer Veil; Xyz Universe; Bujinki Amaterasu Ghost rare in the second pack? Well, Pack Opener trying to make up for last time. Ghostrick Doll special summons from the deck. What more do you need to know? Gimmick Puppet Des Troy is basically a better Blizzard Thunderbird. And even then it is very one note. Still, in the TCG it might sometimes be worth it to normal Des Troy and use it to destroy itself to get two special summons. Yeah you lose hand advantage, but you gain monsters on the field. Last Counter is fine but I have better attack gain cards. But Ria has the Counter Strike skill, so it might be good for her. ZW - Sleipnir Mail is fine, but it isn’t the best Zexal Weapon by any means. Condemned Maiden is just … wow. One Quick-Play Spell activation from my hand. During an entire duel. You spoil me. If it was once per turn I’d actually call it good. Well, maybe decent. Galaxy Mirror Sage is okay. LP gain is always nice, and special summoning form the deck is broken. Battlin' Boxer Veil is great. A free special summon, and you also gain back all the LP you lost. Xyz Universe is interesting because you can use it on your opponent’s monsters. But I’ll never run into Xyz monsters so I’ll never need it. And Bujinki Amaterasu is good. Special summoning banished stuff is nice. The latest_epɪ_sodes are on_the novel(ꜰ)ire.net Artifact Aegis; Starduston; Number 42: Galaxy Tomahawk; Ghostrick Parade; Artifact Beagalltach; Hazy Flame Hydra; Bujintervention; Evo-Singularity; Galaxy Tyranno Artifact Aegis is … an Artifact. Admittedly something I didn’t think about is that Artifacts are really good weapons. So we can study them to make ours better. Starduston is awful. Sure it can have high attack and it places some pretty heavy restrictions on your opponent. But it kills itself if you control more monsters than your opponent. Number 42: Galaxy Tomahawk is kind of crazy. Since there is no limit to the number of tokens, well except the available space you have, I can summon 9 tokens with it. And even ignoring that, it is a space capable stealth fighter. Ghostrick Parade is … not the best Ghostrick Field Spell. Usable, but there are better options. Artifact Beagalltach destroys my set stuff. That is naturally to enable other Artifacts, but I still don’t know how to start the Artifact summoning. Maybe I just MST my own Artifacts? Hazy Flame Hydra is … okay at best. It is just a level 6 you want to use as Xyz material. Bujintervention does a lot. But it is difficult to set up and basically useless for me. Evo-Singularity is great. Just a free Xyz monster with minimal setup. And Galaxy Tyranno is Rank 8 material. ZS - Vanish Sage; Ghostrick Warwolf; Reverse Breaker; Ghostrick Night; Bujintervention; Hundred-Footed Horror; ZW - Sleipnir Mail; Artifact Aegis; Ghostrick Socuteboss Ghostrick Warwolf does burn damage. Reverse Breaker is slow, but I suppose it could work. It would break any defensive spells people try to use. Ghostrick Night is a decent defensive card. And Ghostrick Socuteboss is pretty okay. Destroying stuff is nice, and limiting the available monster zones while at it makes it better. Also cute bonus. Ancient Gear Box; Starduston; Galactic Charity; Condemned Maiden; Heliosphere Dragon; Jackpot 7; Shogi Knight; Nopenguin; Mermaid Shark Ancient Gear Box is a nice little additional search if you search for it. Not that useful for me, but I did run it in an Chaos Ancient Gear Giant fusion deck I played for fun. Sadly the deck wasn’t the best, but a Power Bonded Chaos Ancient Gear Giant is really cool to summon. Galactic Charity is a great draw 2 card. Heliosphere Dragon is Rank 8 material and it can stop your opponent from attacking. Jackpot 7 is a stupid instawin. But I might be able to bait someone into activating it if someone does figure out a way to destroy cards I hold in my hand. Shogi Knight destroys traps. Nopenguin is a free special summon. And Mermaid Shark searches stuff. Double Dragon Descent; Jackpot 7; Artifact Failnaught; Reverse Breaker; Last Counter; Ghostrick Parade; Shogi Knight; Mermaid Shark; Avalon Double Dragon Descent is too specific and I won’t be using it. Artifact Failnaught sets an Artifact from the GY when special summoned during your opponent’s turn. And Avalon is a board wipe, but kind of difficult to set up. ZW - Sleipnir Mail; Diamond Core of Koa'ki Meiru; Last Counter; Ghostrick Night; Scrap Factory; Battlin' Boxer Veil; Hazy Flame Hydra; Ghostrick Doll; Mermaid Shark Diamond Core of Koa'ki Meiru is great. But I still hate the Koa'ki Meiru cards, so no thanks. Diamond Core of Koa'ki Meiru; Galactic Charity; Number 48: Shadow Lich; Reverse Breaker; Umbral Horror Ghost; Artifact Failnaught; Hundred-Footed Horror; Artifact Labrys; Traptrix Dionaea Number 48: Shadow Lich is fine. It has okay stats and summons tokens. And then forces your opponent to deal with the tokens before they can touch it. Umbral Horror Ghost gets you the materials for a Rank 4 Synchro. Artifact Labrys specials itself from the hand when an Artifact is destroyed. And Traptrix Dionaea either specials a Traptrix from the GY, or recovers a ‘Hole’ normal trap from there. Both are good effects. ZW - Sleipnir Mail; Jackpot 7; Blizzard Thunderbird; Sylvan Waterslide; Artifacts Unleashed; Shogi Knight; Double Dragon Descent; Diamond Core of Koa'ki Meiru; Mermaid Shark Sylvan Waterslide … is a card. I’m not the biggest fan of the Sylvan mill playstyle. It doesn’t work for them like it does for something like Lightsworn. So this just feels forced. Artifacts Unleashed isn’t that great either. If you could target set Artifacts with it, and then use them as material, I’d actually call it decent. But as it is, it isn’t all that amazing. Bujintervention; Sylvan Cherubsprout; Shogi Knight; Condemned Maiden; Battlin' Boxer Big Bandage; Blizzard Thunderbird; Ghostrick Night; Starduston; Sylvan Snapdrassinagon Sylvan Cherubsprout specials from the deck. What more do you need to hear? Sure it is just level 1 Plants, but it specials them from the deck. And Sylvan Snapdrassinagon is just ‘if excavated and set to GY, excavate and send to GY’. Do you see why I don’t like Sylvans? They aren’t bad, I just … All they do is excavate and send the Plants to the GY. And most of their effects when they go there really aren’t even that good. But anyway. That is the first 10 packs of Primal Origin. Not the greatest pulls, but I did get a ghost rare. And a super rare, but Avalon is too difficult to use. Well not really, but it is just a pain. I have easier board wipes.
