[Deep Space: Light-years away from Earth] Six long years passed by like days. The Granians still had a long way to go until they arrived at their home planet from their previous conquest. The aliens were sent years ago to different planets in search of a perfect specimen that could handle the Blood Mutant Gene. They roamed from galaxy to galaxy, looking for creatures capable of harnessing and mastering the Blood Mutant power. After battling and destroying over eight hundred planets, the Granians finally stumbled upon Earth, a small blue planet billions of light-years away from any other life forms. Like them, humans had body shapes similar to the Granians, although it didn’t make them special. What stood out the most about these humans was their intelligence, but stupidity at the same time. Once scanned, their planet was revealed to be millennia old, yet its inhabitants hadn’t even cracked basic space transportation according to Granian standards. Their intelligence was blocked by selfishness, greed, and a lust for control and power. The Granians saw this as an opportunity and chose to attack the humans while they were in their weakened state. However, they would soon come to regret it, for the humans, indirectly banding together, fought back against the Granians who had only seen them as test dummies. Months passed, and the Granians finally found them—two siblings with the same deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) composition compatible with the Blood Mutant gene. However, they were not the only ones. Three more humans were also compatible but on a much lower and weaker scale. These fleshy creatures with soft exteriors, different shaped bodies, and interesting facial features battled the Granians, even without the right technology for it. With their wisdom and numbers, the humans gathered together, making new discoveries and creating new weapons to fight their invaders. Finally, the day came when the aliens left, and humanity celebrated. No longer did they have to worry about sudden attacks, abductions, and all the other occurrences caused by their invaders. Sadly, only a select few knew why the aliens had come, and they failed to secure the two siblings. With no hope left of finding them, humanity focused on gathering its resources and preparing to fight in case of any more attacks. As humans redeveloped their way of life, thinking, technology, and lifestyle, the Granians that invaded were in deep space, traveling back to their galaxy. They had lost many of their kind, but their goal was complete. They found more than what they came for and were now returning home to celebrate. "Suffered a great deal with these humans," Grim, the strongest and greatest war Granian, spoke to himself as he stood in front of a cylindrical tube filled with green liquids. Inside the tube was a naked male human with long orange hair, tubes sticking into his mouth and nose. The male, who was eighteen years old six years ago, was now twenty-four with a small beard growing on his face. His body had grown in height and muscle mass with his age. "You were quite the challenge, Ace Underwood. You ran off with our system, killed a good number of our forces, including Murdock, and even managed to create another one of your own." On the left of Ace’s tube was another tube containing Jim Ackerman. His head had grown a great deal of hair, his body aged to fit that of a thirty-one-year-old male. He was slightly shriveled but still alive, for now. On Ace’s right was his sister, Cherry Underwood. Like Ace, Cherry was also placed in the tube without any clothing but had also grown. She now had the features of a twenty-three-year-old woman with extremely long hair almost reaching past her thighs. In another tube next to Cherry was another female human, Skyler Parkson. She, too, had grown to fit her age, twenty-three, and her long hair had grown past her feet. "The one that killed my brother," One Horn, one of Grim’s best fighters, said out loud while entering the room Grim was in. "If only I wasn’t summoned by the Grand Master. I could have fought side-by-side with my brother and saved him... but this... this little creature." He fumed while inching closer to Ace’s tube. "This thing had the strength to kill Murdock." "Don’t act surprised, One Horn," Grim spoke. "You remember how we struggled with the Blood Mutants. Their strength is impecable, and this ’little creature’ has that same power with our system in him. It’s no surprise that Murdock died." "I still don’t understand. How was it possible? I’ve heard you tell me the story many times, but I still find it hard to understand how he killed Murdock so easily." "Step back from the tubes." A familiar voice echoed across the room, and immediately both Granians stepped back and bowed. "Grand Master," the two greeted. "It’s time to wake them up. I think this growth will quicken their abilities to adapt to their surroundings," Grand Master spoke as more Granians entered the room and moved the tubes further down his mega-ship. "Please, walk with me. I’d like you two to welcome them, especially you, One Horn. You still have questions that need answering." The humans were rolled to the last level of the ship. The room, filled with hundreds of other species, was especially active at this moment, for more than half of the ship’s crew had gathered inside, each anxious to see the Blood Mutants awaken. In the middle were two cubes made of clear glass that contained the other two Blood Mutants, the individuals Cherry had interacted with. Both men showed no significant changes, as their bodies were devoid of life. With no will to live, they had killed themselves through starvation, leaving only Jim, Ace, and Cherry as the last Blood Mutants. "Set them in." Following Grand Master’s orders, the Granians brought in four cubes, one for each of the Blood Mutants and Sky. The tubes were placed in the cubes with their tops open. Before waking them up, the cubes were organized in a way that allowed each of the captured humans to see each other once they woke up. They were then raised for the safety of the Granians in case the humans thought of escaping. [Drainage in Progress. Body Stimulation in Progress.] The ship’s AI announced as the green fluids in all four tubes drained. [Blood Mutant System: Online.]
