"INCOMING!!" Cherry, who was on top of one of the clones with her tendrils deep in its throat, shouted a warning to her brother as the same creature she was on went on a rampage. The female blood mutant used her tail and dug as deep as she could into the creature’s thick hide, causing it to stumble a little. As for Ace, he was busy fumbling with the thick blood in his control. Thankfully, the first creature was on its side, wheezing and gasping for air. The last one, scarred by the blood mutants, crawled backwards slowly, fearing it would end up dying too. ’They possess some sort of intelligence,’ Ace thought to himself and soon cheered after managing to control the blood and shape it with slight ease. ’Well then, I’ll finish it off with ease.’ Ace lifted his hand over his head and clenched his fist. The creature whimpered as it walked backwards. As soon as Ace dropped his hand, the creature turned around and started to run while roaring as loud as it could. Sadly, the blood of its own kind was used to slice its head off, killing it instantly. With the first creature still barely breathing, Ace walked over to it while turning its own blood into a blood sword. He leaned over, looked into its almost lifeless eyes, and gently eased his sword right through them. "Good thing you’re just a clone," he whispered coldly as the creature cried one more time before finally giving up its life. Since her tail trick wasn’t working, Cherry continued sending her tendrils deeper into the creature’s mouth until it hit its stomach’s base. She then slowly pulled them apart and started to rip the creature open like a coconut. The creature roared and started jumping around to shake Cherry off, but the girl was too resilient for it. With more tendrils holding onto the floors, Cherry held the beast in place and completed the breaking up process she started. Not wanting to die yet, the beast let out a mighty roar as it started to close its jaws. Cherry’s strength started to give out, so she quickly detached the tendrils on her back and left them inside the creature before jumping off. "I’m not finished with you yet," she said angrily while stretching forth her hands and causing the tendrils to explode. The creature’s body parts splattered everywhere in large chunks as its thick blood spilled onto Cherry. Not disgusted by it, Cherry started to laugh crazily as she reverted to normal. Ace, Chris, and Lilly watched on and remained mesmerized yet confused at how Cherry could be so calm in one moment and turn berserk in the next. "We have to monitor her closely," Lilly whispered to Chris. "That wild character might turn her into a rogue blood mutant." "It’s him that I’m worried about," Chris answered back. "He’s too calm for comfort. Imagine if you were captured by the Ethisians and turned into their walking weapon. Would you be so calm with it like he is?" Chris asked, but Lilly remained silent. The realization of Ace’s calm and collected nature worried both of them, leaving them to wonder what would happen to any of the Granians if Ace ever became stronger than what they were training him to be. What would happen if he surpassed the strength wall they planned on limiting him to? "We’re done with the training exercise," Ace shouted at the two Granians as he took a seat. "Waiting for you guys to come knock us out...again." "Err...good work, you two..." Chris congratulated. "That will be all for today. You must be exhausted and famished. From here, you’ll be led to your resting facilities. We’ll pick up in exactly twelve hours from now. Just as expected, Ace and Cherry were knocked out and woke up a few minutes later to find themselves in their cube cells, only this time, they were kept in a long row alongside other different species. Like a chicken coop, Ace found himself placed in a massive room with thousands of cubes stacked on top of each other. All the creatures—some large, some small, some human-like, and some disfigured; some looking harmless and some looking like the embodiment of evil itself—were kept in a massive facility as if they were only useful for food. The room was a massive square-shaped area and was wide and large enough to fit approximately ten Eiffel towers at once. The center had an elevated control panel, and the top had four suspension cables that kept Ace, Cherry, Jim, and Sky spaced from the other species in containment. At the moment, the entire prison-cell-like facility was in uproar with every single creature making noise at the humans above them. Having never seen such a funny-looking creature before, the different lifeforms expressed their feelings towards the humans, some being excited and others being downright disgusted. "Hey, guys." Skyler banged on her cube and got the attention of her fellow humans. "Where have they been taking you? I’ve been alone here for too damn long." "Our jailors have given us the awesome privilege of making us their walking weapons of death," Jim sarcastically answered. "Count yourself lucky that you are not a blood mutant." "Wait. You’ve been here this whole time?" Cherry asked, surprised and shocked that Sky wasn’t being trained even though she had an important Gift. "I thought they would put you through serious training." "All I get is some Granians coming to stare and laugh and the black guy mumbling strange words at me." Sky sighed. "Have you guys found out where we’re going? I really don’t want to be here anymore. I want to go home." "It would be best if you forget about your home planet," Ace said in a brusque manner with his head buried between his knees. "If I’m right, we’re being taken to their planet to fight a war against their enemies. I overheard one of their conversations. Looks like there are others superior to them." "What are they called?" Jim and Cherry asked, having gained an interest in what Ace was saying. "They call them Ethisians," Ace answered. "Seems like these are their enemies. Cherry and I will ask around. Jim and Sky, find out from these low-level Granians. Let’s find out what exactly it is that makes the Granians scared."
