Having just completed the Fourth Phase, the Humans came out victorious but severely wounded. The Scaled Ones proved to be more than challenging opponents due to the wounds they managed to inflict. Skyler, having taken the worst hits, opted to end her time in the training phase. Her body was injured, she had lost too much blood, and the aftereffects of her Eneraflux burst started to take a toll on her body. Jim, on the other hand, had the least injuries on his body. The Golden Blood Mutant beamed with inner joy once he noticed how beaten up Ace looked compared to him. This was his sick and twisted way of gauging his strength with Ace’s and it clearly showed who had the most skills in the training phase. ’The strongest among us has taken more injuries than I did,’ Jim thought to himself while managing to stop a grin from forming on his face. ’Still, this doesn’t mean much. This is more of a skill issue than raw strength. If we were to go toe-to-toe against each other, he’d win for sure. I need to get stronger than him much faster.’ As soon as Skyler left the Simulation Chamber, the terrain around them changed from a rocky canyon to an open green terrain. The lighting changed from bright and hot to pitch black, pushing them to use their night vision abilities. {The Fifth Phase has begun.} {Kill Goal: Five creatures at once.} "Hold on," Ace shouted with his hand raised over his body. "Is this what we’re going to keep doing? Killing over and over again?" No response, apart from an awkward and unsettling silence, was given to his question, making the Blood Bishop get a little more unsettled. At first, the training was bearable and easy for him but the fact that he had to keep killing over and over again started to bore and irritate him. "Take this as a chance to sharpen your blood skills," Jim spoke as he prepared himself for the fifth phase to begin. "You’ve got plenty in store, so why not exercise each one of them?" "I have no issues with that," Ace answered. "I just think there are better ways for us to train without killing so much." Hearing what Ace said, Jim exchanged a questionable look as he pondered on what the Blood Mutant said. The more he thought about it, the more it made him question whether the Blood Bishop knew what he was brought to do. "Have you forgotten why we’re here in the first place?" Jim angrily asked while forcing himself not to lash out completely at Ace. "Ace we’re war soldiers. They’re making us prepare for war. Our goal is to kill. For goodness sake our abilities make us manipulate the very essence all life thrives on. Do you think you’re some kind of decoration or trophy? No, you’re not. You’re a killing machine, a creature driven by a lust for blood. You’re a Blood Mutant. Killing is all you, I, and the others were created to do." {The Fifth Phase has commenced.} The ground started to shake. From various spots on the plain emerged black pods which spewed egg-like orbs all over. From those same orbs came creatures similar to the Xof in terms of shape. However, unlike the Xof which had humanoid shapes, these creatures resembled dogs with arms almost similar to those of humans. Their heads were shaped like seeds with flaps of flesh on top acting like flowers. "Killing five all at once huh," Jim smirked as he created two Blood Clones. The clones then pressed their hands together and all at once fired pressurized blood at their targets. However.... "What the??!! It’s like they just disappeared." The creatures that emerged from the orbs suddenly vanished without warning, rendering Jim’s attack useless. While the Golden Blood Mutant tried making sense of it, Ace already deduced what was happening. "Speed," he spoke. "speed and endurance. This is a test to see how we can react when it comes to killing multiple creatures very quickly. You may not see it, but those damned beasts are running all over the field in groups of two." Focusing his vision on the field, Jim noticed what Ace was talking about and saw the creatures moving incredibly fast, so fast that it was difficult for him to keep up with his eyes. "So that’s why they want us to kill five at once," Jim sighed. "This is gonna be more challenging than I thought." [Blood Sprint Skill: Activated.] [Explosive Blood Technique: Activated.] [Blood Clone Skill: Activated.] [Clones Created: 3/30] Using three skills at once, Ace devised a plan in which he hoped to accomplish the goal while increasing his skill levels. Blood Sprint was activated to equip him with a boost of speed, Explosive Blood Technique was a part of his ’plan, and Blood Clone Skill was used to create clones that would round up the creatures together. All at once, Ace and his clones dispersed and ran at a speed almost at the same level as the running creatures. The Clones systematically ran in a large circle and started to close in on the creatures while Ace ran inside the circle as he placed medium-sized drops of his blood all over. [+5 Endurance Points.] Once the Blood Bishop felt he scattered enough blood, he and his clones started to run in an even smaller circle, keeping the creatures in an even smaller running space. Suddenly, the Blood Bishop activated the Explosive aspect of his blood, blowing up the creatures in the process. ’It didn’t work?’ he grunted as he saw countless bodies rising into the air even though they were still alive. Some lost limbs, and others couldn’t move anymore but not a single one of them had died. To counter this, Ace gathered every drop of spilled blood and created a spinning Blood Ring around him and his clones. While most of the creatures regained their senses and darted off, those that were still dazed were targeted by Ace who rushed towards them with his spinning Blood Ring. ’Did I do it?’ he wondered. ’Did I kill five at once?’ {Subject Ace has not met the goal.} ’That would be too easy.’ he sighed while devising yet another plan. Meanwhile, Jim, who had been taking notes of the creatures, devised a plan of his own that would be slightly similar to Ace’s in that he too would incorporate the use of Blood Clones. With his hands and the hands of his clones pressed together, they all subdued extensive amounts of blood under so much pressure before releasing it all at once. {Subject Jim has completed the Fifth Phase.}
