Senses tensed and alert Muscles ready to react at any moment The Hunters surrounded the mighty Emberwyrm with great courage, bravery, stupidity, and fear. Those clad with full body armor sets stood at the front, drawing their weapons out in wait for the beast to awaken. Those at the back remained vigilant, making sure to keep watch for any other beasts that would creep on them. Among those were Ace Underwood, Cherry Underwood, and the ’human impersonator’ known as Lily. Together, the three looked at the Emberwyrm as if it were nothing but a simple beast that could be killed easily. However brave and overconfident they were in their skills, the humans didn’t dare underestimate their enemy for one bit. Their short time spent in battle taught them a tough and unforgettable lesson about underestimating one’s opponent, despite their shapes, looks, and size. Moreover, it did help that the targeted beast had a ferocious build and presence that shook some of the faint of heart Hunters. The fight was about to begin. The experienced Hunters halved their numbers even more, one squad moving to the left and another moving to the right. Once there, they silently threw weights and heavy chains over the beast’s body and tied them to the ground. Those with modern weapons placed electric orbs around the body, a piece of machinery that would activate once hostility was sensed. "Three....two...one....NOW!!!" A loud bang noise was made, instantly waking the beast up. Enraged, the beast slowly rose to its six feet while a cloud of yellow hazardous sulfur escaped from its nostrils. "NOW!!" Halving themselves again, the Hunters separated into those responsible for pulling down on the chains while others would focus their strengths on fighting the beast. As soon as it got up, the Hunters pulled down as hard as they could, bringing the thing back to its knees. Instantly, the electric orbs were activated which caused them to send a paralyzing shock to the beast. The Hunters were caught off guard by the beast’s monstrous and powerful roar which knocked some to their feet. The volume and magnitude of its roar alone shook the foundations of the cavern, causing multiple rocks to fall, lava to spill, and most frightening, attracted many beasts towards it. "That was a cry for help," Ace warned his sister and Lily while pointing out at the other beasts approaching them. It was no joke concerning what was discussed about the High-tiered beasts. Their strength and intelligence were what set them apart from the others, and now the Humans and Hunters were about to get a live-action taste of what it felt like. "HUNTERS, HOLD YOUR GROUND," the command was given, prompting those on the chains and orbs to intensify their attack. "WE WILL FEND OFF AGAINST THE OTHER BEASTS." [Blood Sprint: Activated] The Blood Mutant Sibling duo got to work, quickly applying their Blood Skills and superior athletic abilities to the fight. Having the Coagulant Daggers, Cherry enjoyed the benefits that came with holding them and made sure to harness the power intelligently. With speed, strength, and stamina now doubled, she became three times more intimidating than she already was, all learned from her brother. As for Ace, he followed her closely behind while setting his eyes on a specific creature. A beast shaped like an Armadillo with rocks for scales, boulder-like appendages, and four glaring eyes with lava dripping from its mouth made it the perfect target for him. Its high defenses were surely going to be something worth breaking through. ’I don’t even know if these things have blood,’ he wondered but that didn’t stop him from pursuing it. "Shall we attack together?" Lily appeared by his side and then darted ahead with her hands emitting a blue glow. Just like on Earth, the ’human impersonator’ was going to use her special ability similar to the one she pretended to have on Earth, energy manipulations. The Caverns were a special place beaming and surging with immense energy all coming from the beasts, a perfect breeding space for Lily to use her energy manipulation technique. Once she established her desire to work with Ace, she quickly got to work and began forming as much energy as possible within her hands. "Energy bombs!!" she exclaimed excitedly, throwing her manipulated energy bombs that would implode as soon as they contacted their intended targets. This constant energy attack on the Armadillo-like beast cost it a few of its armor bits, making it vulnerable but also angering it at the same time. [Blood Control Lv4: Activated] Red Light beamed through Ace’s body, covering him in a coat of Blood Energy which intensified his strength. Using the immense power of his newly acquired gauntlets, he focused all his strength on the beast’s blood. Once he felt something, he pressed his fingers together into a fist and instantly coagulated the beast’s blood. "It’s down?" Lily marveled and grew weary. Looking at Ace, she knew that he was the one responsible for it, but she didn’t know whether he was using telekinetic abilities or something else that was similar to it. Meanwhile, the female Blood Knight remained a few feet ahead of the others, using her strength and Daggers to cause as much damage as possible. Attacking while defending against the lava saliva most beasts secreted, she became slightly unstoppable while killing and drawing out as much blood as she could, further weaponizing it and using it to kill the beasts even more. Knowing the limits of his own strength, he was more than certain that killing a beast such as the Emberwyrm was not going to be an easy task. With the power he had, he knew what needed to be done. Sure, he could have used his Blood Army, but he knew very well that the Granians present wouldn’t be so welcoming of Blood Red Ethisians appearing from thin air. Instead, the Blood Bishop decided to use the beasts in the Caverns as his pawns to kill the Emberwyrm, the ultimate beast that he wanted to kill so desperately. [Blood Mana Extracted.] ’More than what the Ethisians gave me. I wonder how much I can make from killing the Emberwyrm.’ [Blood Mana Lv2: 7,722/8000>>>7,922/8000] [Congratulations. You have created your first Blood Beast.] The Armadillo-like beast formed into a Blood Beast, a new category for the Blood Bishop who didn’t expect such a thing. Nonetheless, with the beast under his control, he began to use its power and defensive capabilities to do his work. Even though it lacked the lava appearance, it still had its ferocious character and tough body, spawning an idea in Ace’s mind. ’Instead of letting it have rock-hard skin, I should increase the iron in its body and make it as hard as steel.’ [Blood Rust Aspect Multiplied.] [Congratulations: You have acquired a New Aspect] [Blood Iron Manipulation.] [Description: The Blood Iron Manipulation Aspect is a magical element that enables the user to increase the amount of iron in his intended target’s blood, or on his own. This increase in iron can make solidified Blood stronger, sharper, and harder to break, making it a perfect defense and offense tool.] [Target Selected: Blood Drillo Beast Lv2] A shiny, crimson luster enveloped the Blood Beast’s body, turning it from a clump of Blood Cells forming a body into a shiny tank on feet that charged at the other beasts at full speed. The Blood Drillo, under its Master’s command, assisted him with injuring as many beasts as it could while said Master delivered the final blows. [Targets Selected: x2 Blood Drillo Beasts Lv2] Two more Blood Drillo Beasts were killed, making their total number three. Slowly but steadily, Ace was creating a Beast Army which would later prove to be useful while increasing his Blood Mana and overall strength. In just one hunting trip, he was growing stronger much faster just as Lily had promised he would. Aside from that, the other Hunters with weapons joined the Mutants by killing the other beasts that sought to disrupt their plan. Having no choice, the Granian and non-Granian Hunters halved their numbers yet again with the strongest handling the larger beasts and the slightly weakest handling the lesser beasts. "We must hurry, the Emberwyrm is starting to struggle even more." The announcement was made, drawing everyone’s attention momentarily at the beast. Those handling the electric orbs and chains began to struggle heavily since their strength wasn’t even with the beast’s own. Soon, they started to fall one by one, making it harder to keep it down. If the Emeberwyrm were to set itself free, all hell would break loose, something that the Hunters and Blood Mutants couldn’t afford at the moment.
