[Beast Types: Blood Drillo] [Skills Performed: Increased Iron Levels] Ace’s hoard of Blood Beasts intensified their attacks on the other beasts, weakening and injuring them as quickly as they could for the other Hunters to finish them off. Despite losing the opportunity to kill and conjure them himself, Ace opted to do things that way given that they had less time. The Emberwyrm was putting up a huge fight which was quite troublesome for them. They needed to think quickly, react faster, and attack immediately if they wanted to kill it. Unfortunately, there were other beasts in the Caverns that attacked them as soon as the targeted beast made its battle cry. [Instant Level Up] x2 [Level 90: 317/640>>>Level 92: 317/660] [All Stats have been increased by Two Points.] [Mana extracted: +110] [Blood Mana: 8,322/16,000>>>>8,432/16,000] [All Beasts have been amplified with the Blood Iron Manipulation Aspect] ’These beasts are weaker than the Blood Drillos,’ Ace mumbled, surprised at how little Mana and Level-Ups he received. Still, it was better than nothing and if it meant that his Blood Beast numbers increased, he was more than content to continue with his plan. Amid all the chaos, the one who was enjoying the fight the most was Cherry the Blood Knight. Using the Coagulant Daggers wisely, she injured and killed a large number of beasts quickly and effectively, leaving behind a pile of bodies wherever she passed. No matter how large, ferocious, fast, or cunning the beast was, she made sure to deal with it as quickly as possible although she’d still suffer a few injuries here and there. The most impressive aspect she showed was the perfect coordination she had with her Blood Clones. Having trained with them for a while, she grew accustomed to using them over and over again which started to benefit her in the fight against the beasts. Eventually, the Blood Knight had killed enough, having gathered a large sum of Blood which replenished her lost strength and was also used to create more Blood Clones. "THE BEAST IS BREAKING LOOSE!!" The terrified screams of a hopeless Hunter echoed and before he knew it, the same chain he was holding down was wrapped around his body and swang around like a sling. The Emberwyrm was free, no longer bound by the chains of the Hunters. Already enraged, the beast came down from its nest and unleashed a mighty roar that rocked the foundations of the Cavern, unleashing hell as was promised. The lava deposits spilled in great volumes, consuming and killing those that stood too close. The Blackstone deposits hanging from the ceiling came down in massive numbers and crushed both Hunters and beasts, all except for those that were quick and vigilant enough to dodge in time. The chaos was wild, but not as wild as the beast responsible for it. Raising its long neck, it glanced at the Hunters one at a time while its chest started to glow. The red cracks consisting of its skin expanded, showing a layer of glowing flesh that ascended threw its chest, into its neck, and finally out of its mouth, aimed directly at the leading Granian Hunter. *GRUNT* the Granian grunted in pain as he used his large shield to deflect the beast’s attack. The rest of the Hunters gathered around it frantically and began their attacks. Those with long-ranged weapons, whether modern or not, unleashed as much damage as they could while others directly hit its body. In as much as it was big, the Emberwyrm was still vulnerable in certain areas, mainly in between the cracks of its hard, rock-like skin. Once the Hunters began to strike back, the beast leaped high in the air and latched its large body on one of the massive Blackstone deposits, looking down on its prey. "No, it’s looking for a way to keep us trapped in here!!" a frantic scream, followed by the beast opening its ugly mouth unleashed with a bright blast of beast energy killing all the Hunters at the top whose purpose was to serve as the quick escape for those below. Not only did the beast kill them, it also enclosed the tunnel entrance with massive rocks blocking it. "We’re trapped. The beast has trapped us in!!" a female Granian cried defeatedly, and before she could even react, the beast fell back on the ground while one of its legs crushed her body into a puddle of green blood, scales, and armor. ’My god... they weren’t kidding about the intelligence aspect of these beasts. This is insane!!’ "FALL BACK!!" Not even having to think twice about it, the hunters scattered all over like roaches in a well-lit kitchen, looking for whatever crack, hole, or crevice they could seek shelter in. Lily, having created a few energy bombs, used them to create a large enough crevice in the wall to hide her, Ace, and Cherry. [All Blood Beasts have been reverted.] "That was insane," she sighed, her heart beating so fast that the others nearly heard it. Judging by the look of fear on her face, it was safe to say that Lily was more than surprised at the beast. even though she had hunted before, she never dared to attempt hunting High-tiered beasts due to the current situation she was in. "No wonder more than half of High-tier beast hunters go missing. It’s the beasts that kill them. How the hell are we going to get out of here?" "How are we going to get out of here?!!" Mentally defeated, the Hunters were opting out of the situation, already frightened by the beast’s wild nature and intelligence. Blocking the tunnels was no joke and since it was what the beast had decided to do, the Hunters grew wearier and more frightened. Getting out was now their utmost priority. With the few beasts they killed and harvested, they would be able to earn enough money to live for a while. "Got any ideas?" Cherry looked at Ace, and he looked back. Dumbstruck, the Blood Bishop had no intentions of backing out just yet. He needed to capture and conjure the Emberwyrm. It was far too strong and great for him to leave behind. "How to get the hell out of here, dummy!!" Lily snapped with tears forming at the corner of her eyes. In the state of danger, the once cunning, annoying, proud, pretentious Granian turned into a spineless wimp, having no backbone and will to fight anymore. All she thought of doing was leaving even though she was the genius that brought up the hunting suggestion. "Don’t you want to live? Don’t you see the strength difference between us and that beast?" "I do see it," Ace replied and then began to smile eerily. His sister caught on to what he planned on doing and she didn’t like it one bit. "No, no, no, no, no, no," Cherry dejected before Ace projected. He hadn’t even opened his mouth to speak but already the Blood Knight knew what he planned on doing. "We’re not going to kill that thing, Ace. It’s too dangerous." "There’s one thing we have over that creature," he bragged. "It may be intelligent, that I agree, but its intelligence has a limit. A creature as big, powerful, and dangerous as that one often gets blinded by its own rage. We must find a way of exploiting that weakness to our advantage." "ARE YOU CRAZY?" Lily snapped and used it as a perfect ’excuse’ to slap Ace. Immediately, the Blood Bishop used his powerful gauntlets and controlled the Blood in her hand, clotting it in the process which, in return, numbed her hand and caused it to swell. "Do that again, and it’ll be your heart I’ll go after next." He warned, eyes glowing red with rage as he undid the skill effect on her. "As I was saying, we can cause this thing to act out of rage and lure it into a trap. Once it’s in, we’ll attack and kill it together so we can get the prize these people were talking about." "I’m all for crazy and wild ideas, you know that about me, Ace," Cherry mumbled while shaking her head. "but even I have my limits when it comes to who or what I can fight when I should or shouldn’t fight in, and when I should give up and live to fight another day. You may control blood, but it doesn’t make you invincible. You bleed too, Ace. And if you’re careless enough, that beast can finish you off quickly." Not taking their warning to heart, Ace walked out of the crevice and studied his surroundings. Looking around, he noticed the large Blackstone hanging above their heads with its pointed tip dangling. Instantly, a wild idea spawned in his mind, prompting him to leave the tip with the Blood of all the fallen Hunters. Once tipping the tip with Blood, he hardened it and increased its iron level, instantly making it an indirect spearhead. Now all that was left was the distraction. "HEY!!! OVER HERE YOU OVERSIZED LIZARD!!!"
