The weather conditions on the planet worsened as the rains fell faster and the winds blew stronger. The remaining Ethisians were affected by the cold and water, hindering their field of vision. Their enemies, the Blood Warriors, were not as hindered by the elements, giving them a significant advantage. Additionally, the Blood Warriors were led by Enoris, who in her previous life was a Legendary-ranked Ethisian. Her fighting skills, sense of leadership, and incredibly powerful body allowed her to kill more Ethisians than the others could in such a short amount of time. This conquest allowed her Master to focus on the other Ethisian whose rank was yet to be established. [System Scan Skill: Activated] ’It’s a miracle whenever this thing works.’ [Species Name: Ethisian] [Rank: Upper Legendary Ethisian] ’Looks like Grim was right. This thing’s a lab-grown Ethisian. Not even the system recognizes it.’ Standing back with his sister, the Blood Bishop devised a plan that would result in the death of the Ethisians. At that moment, Lord Grim, his mate Huntress, and One Horn engaged in physical combat with the Ethisian. The pace, speed, and brutality at which they moved inflicted incredible damage on the Ethisian, but it still held its ground. Nonetheless, the rate at which it was being attacked was too much for it to handle, so if it continued much longer, its death would arrive quicker than expected. It’s important to note that the Ethisian still wasn’t clear on who Ace and Cherry were. The siblings were always recognized by the Ethisians as Humans and Blood Mutants since the first two Humans before them created that reputation. However, this Ethisian did not know them, which came as an advantage for them and a disadvantage for it. [Blood Harvest Gauntlets: Equipped] [Your Gauntlets have taken damage. It will require ten liters of your blood to repair them.] "Impossible," he complained, "this isn’t even that much of a problem. There’s only a small chip on the sides. You can’t possibly be asking me for ten liters!!" As much as he wished to complain, there was no more time to waste, for the longer he took, the more time it would take for the Ethisian to learn who the Humans were. Quickly, Cherry and Ace stretched forth their hands and focused their strengths on the Ethisian. The three Granians noticed their movements and did their best to keep it in place, holding its body down so that the Mutants could do whatever they were preparing for. At the right moment, their bodies glowed a fierce red color with Ace clenching his fist. Cherry did the same, and together they manipulated the blood inside the Ethisian’s body and then... and then... but... "I feel nothing!!" Cherry’s eyes widened in shock as her brother constantly tensed and relaxed his fists. He attempted to feel an ounce of blood in the Ethisian’s body, but just like his sister, he felt nothing. "It doesn’t have blood?" The Ethisian caught on to what the Mutants were doing and slowly looked back at them with an itchy grin spreading across its lower face. It knew all along who the Humans were and what they were capable of, but they did not. Seeing the distressed looks on their faces made its grin grow even wider until it started laughing, mocking, and taunting them. "Blood Mutants," it spoke while grabbing One Horn and Huntress by their legs and throwing them away like discarded trash. As for Grim, it slammed its leg into his chest, sending his body catapulting into the thick walls of the mine. "At last, I finally got to witness the creatures that have no effect on me. Are you impressed by my little trick? The ability that makes me better than the rest of the Ethisians you’ve ever faced? I’m sure you are. Your wide-eyed expressions give it away." "You were grown in a lab, is that right?" "Oh, not only are you strong, but you’re smart as well," it laughed with a playful series of claps, "Of course, a being such as I was created in a laboratory. I give thanks and credit to my Lords who gave me the fighting chance to meet you and show you what’s in store for the Granians. These blood-filled Ethisians will only slow us down and make us lose the war, but the rest like me... oh well, you’ll just have to kill me first and face them for yourselves." The Mutant dropped one bombshell and then dropped another by increasing the input and output of its energy, charging its body with Eneraflux. Its energy was whitish-blue in color and possessed a gentle flow just like Lord Grim and the other Granians. While the others were momentarily down, it was up to the Mutants to deal with the Ethisian long enough until either Granian came with the final blow. "I do commend you, Blood Mutants, to try every blood trick at your disposal." It spoke in a mocking tone with its eyes closed. "Please, by all means. Try and kill me with your fancy heart-stopping tricks. I’d like to see you try and fail. After all, I have no blood in my body to..." Swiping his hands, he unequipped the Blood Harvest Gauntlets and turned his hands into claws. Using the red energy coursing through his veins, he covered his hands in volumes of blood to harden it, but that wasn’t all. The blood he covered his hands with was his own, allowing him to engulf his claw in acidic and fiery blood. One strike to the Ethisian’s face cost it its eye, leaving a wide scar on its body. Just as it said, there was no blood in its body, but it could still suffer wounds if not careful. This discovery was all Cherry and Ace needed to bring the Ethisian down. It could not bleed, but it could still be wounded.
