[The Bastion Planets] Before venturing off, the Granian Lord gathered as many Granians as he could on the Bastion while making sure to have his "meeting" broadcasted to the rest across the Granian half of Akrina. The reason for this was simple; he was commencing the beginning of the full-out war, the beginning of the conquering and pillaging of every Ethisian colony, planet, base, and those of the Ethisian allies. The "meeting" was actually a pep talk rally of sorts where the Granian Lord spoke courageously to his soldiers, laborers, slaves, councilors, Humans, and everyone else involved in the War. The pep talk lasted for about forty-five minutes, each minute being more ecstatic than the last. The Granian Lord’s words sparked an immense amount of interest in the Granian hearts, along with a sense of patriotism. Even the Humans, who in no way cared about the aspects of the War that didn’t concern them, found themselves feeling patriotic to the Granian Race. Grania’s words cut so deep and stirred a fire in all his listener’s hearts. His message resounded in everyone’s ears and reverberated in their minds like a song stuck in one’s head. As he spoke, an image of technological strength was displayed. Above them in the void of space, the large chunks of metal were interlinked, forming multiple series of rings. Around said rings were hundreds of thousands of Behemoth, Colonial, and Cyclitharan ships waiting to go through. With each phrase Grania made, the ships entered the rings and vanished under a blinding, bright flash of light. ’Teleportation gates?’ to the ignorant species, the gates looked like teleportation mechanisms of sorts but in reality, they were one of the many technological trump cards the Granians harbored. The gates acted as hyperspace catalysts designed to create an environment suitable for even the bulky, chunky, and awkward burly Behemoth ships to fly in at the speed of light. Without them, it would take the Granians decades just to travel deeper into the Ethisian Half of Akrina. Once a ship entered the gates, they were thrust quickly enough until they entered a space known as hyperspace. Once inside hyperspace, the ships were then put into hyper-speed, a technique that allowed them to move even beyond the speed of light for a very short amount of time. ’With those, they’ll get to their destinations faster than the Ethisians will be able to react. Impressive and frightening.’ Lord Grania’s speech ended, his words setting a blaze in the hearts of all those who listened. As soon as he was done, hundreds of thousands of ships cued at the gates and sped deeper into Akrina with a few returning to the Granian Colonies to collect new recruits, resources, and other things. Meanwhile, the Granian Lord stood proud and strong, his face shining with a confident arrogance. He knew how impactful his words were; he knew what effect he had on his people; he knew just how much he could go with convincing his people to fight. To make matters better for him, Grania’s words held their effect on his people because he involved himself in combat, unlike other Lords, Emperors, Grand Dukes, High Rulers, or any other political, cultural, or monarchical figureheads. The fact that he was willing to join his men in War was enough to make his words have the effects they did. "Ready me a ship..." Grania commanded with a cocky grin on his face. While he did, One Horn and Helda departed with Jim and Anya riding with them to War. Lord Gravax appeared from wherever he was hiding and took Cherry and Ace with him, even though the Blood Bishop was of no use in terms of Blood Mutant Abilities. That left Lord Grania with Skyler, the Human who refused to be turned into a Mutant. "...and get this Human a strong suit of armor and a weapon of her choice. We’re going on a personal venture of our own." Nervously, Skyler wore a forced and false face of courage as she approached the Granian Lord while saying, "While I’m glad you chose me to join you on this, I don’t think I’m really that qualified for it..." "Which makes you perfect." Grania shouted and then walked off to a nearby field where his ship was prepared. The back of the ship was filled with supplies, weapons, and sets of armor enough to sustain an incredibly small platoon of soldiers for about five Human days. "But Lord Grania," Skyler continued to plead her case, hoping to change the Granian Lord’s mind but it was futile, "You could have asked Cherry to come with you or Jim or Anya. What good will I be to you?" Lord Grania remained silent and then casually faced Skyler. With a fiery glint in his eyes, he grabbed the woman by her shoulders and carried Skyler into his ship. The woman knew she couldn’t deject, she didn’t even try to. Even if she did, would the proud Granian open his ears for once and let her words float in? ʀᴇᴀᴅ ʟᴀᴛᴇsᴛ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀᴛ 𝓷𝓸𝓿𝓮𝓵✦𝕗𝕚𝕣𝕖✦𝙣𝙚𝙩 ’Why doesn’t he listen to me?’ "Buckle up, human," Grania spoke as he sat in the pilot’s seat. While preparing the ship for lift off, he occasionally stared at the woman with cocky eyes while saying, "You and I are going to embark on a special journey to bring your friend back. I believe my skills can instill more Eneraflux knowledge into you." "...yes, I believe they will." "LORD GRANIA!!" Skyler momentarily snapped, her eyes glaring at the Granian with a slight bit of rage inside. "I am not the best-suited candidate for this. For the last time, pick someone else who is capable of fighting alongside you, not me. I can’t protect myself from a High Grade and I know this because this High Grade you want to hunt is so strong that Grim acknowledges us..." "...who else will I go with?" Grania asked his question immediately silencing Skyler. "All the others have already left. You’re stuck with me and I’m stuck with you." If only she had snapped earlier, maybe Skyler would have gotten her point across. Sighing heavily, the Human remained seated with a sulking face while her Granian companion flew the ship out from the Bastion Planet’s atmosphere and into one of the gates.
