These Gates, surrounded by all the Granian and Cyclitharan ships prepped for War, were one of the many trump cards the Granians possessed. With the Gates, a shift in Space Travel was going to occur. Instead of taking hours, days, weeks, months, or light years to traverse from one zone to another, these Gates would make it possible for ships to move instantly from one place to another, no matter the distance. Leading the movement of the Ships was the Granian Lord, Lord Grania, who flew his ship into the largest Gate. Accompanying him was the fifth Human Skyler and together, they set out to find and kill the High Grade that crippled their strongest asset. "Um...are you sure this is safe?" Digging her fingers deep into her seat, Skyler looked at the Gate, which whirled with weird particles of light that slowly drew their ship into it. The woman was scared for her life, thinking that the Gate would kill them before they got to where they needed to go. "Let’s just use whatever normal routes you have. We’re not in that much of a hurry..." "Foolish human," Grania insulted with a pompous grin smeared on his face, "only Ethisian Planets, Solar Systems, and Colonies lay before us. If we dare take the straight way forward, we’ll be killed before we know it.." "Then why are we going there?" Skyler asked yet again, her fear-stricken gaze piercing into Grania’s wild, ambitious eyes. "If it’s dangerous, why’re we heading there?" "We’re not going there..." "Oh. That’s a relie..." "...we’re going to the main Ethisian Planet itself." He ended and then thrust the ship forward. Their tiny ship, compared to the larger ones behind, sped first into the Gate where a blinding white light crept into every inch of the ship. Skyler cringed as hard as her body could as they moved forward while her fingers dug even deeper into her seat. In an instant, the ship was catapulted and thrust into hyper-speed. Because her eyes were closed the whole time, Skyler didn’t see the millions of stars, star clusters, and other beauties she and Grania sped past, but that didn’t matter; in less than two seconds, they had arrived at their destination—safe and sound. "We’re here," Lord Grania whispered, his voice sounding low and grim for someone with such a character as loud as his, "open your eyes, human. Look at this." Before Skyler could even open her eyes, Lord Grania pulled her from her chair to his side. Together, their eyes looked upon a sight so grand that it was frightening but expected. Stretching before them was a massive fleet of Ethisian ships, ships that were somewhat bigger and bulkier than regular Granian ships but that wasn’t all. Haisojian, YYrejites, and Soxan ships hovered with them and they too were quite many in numbers. In all honesty, Lord Grania grew nervous. Seeing a fleet this large with this many ships and a potentially larger army shook the Granian slightly but not for too long. The proud, arrogant glaze that twinkled in his eye returned as he pressed a button on the control panel saying, "The Gates test run has been a success. Proceed as instructed..." Taking a long pause, the Granian Lord looked at the ships once more, his eyes scanning as many as he could before he continued saying, "...start with the Asylum Planets first. Avoid any encounters in space in the meantime. Lure them to the ground surfaces first." After giving the confirmation, Lord Grania activated the ship’s cloaking mechanism and proceeded to fly right under the enemy ships. The Granian remained silent the whole time as he studied the ships, looking at each one to spot any notable weaknesses that he and his people could exploit. So far, he found none. Because the Ethisians had three allies, they put their heads together and reconstructed/reshaped their ships and weaponry to accommodate all four species which made them formidable in defense, a quite worrying thing for the unsuspecting Granians. "Shouldn’t we make it to the Planet first?" Skyler complained. "Instead of, you know, flying directly under the enemy’s ships? "Do you want us to die before we even get there?" Grania mumbled, his eyes still stuck on the ships. "We’ll get shot down before our ship gets close to the Planet. Besides, your body’s oozing with uncontrolled Eneraflux which will make it easy for the enemy to sense us...so we’re going to use that to our advantage. Quickly transform yourself into a small creature and hide in my garment’s secret compartment." "I can’t..." she replied and Grania asked; "Because I haven’t absorbed any DNA for small creatures!" Skyler exclaimed, earning her a disgusted look from the Granian. "One Horn had me focus on only strong, large, and powerful creatures..." "Fine then." he said while diverting the ship onto Planet Edenia’s many empty, distant moons. Upon landing, the Granian Lord stood at the highest point, his eyes still fixated on the large number of ships leaving Planet Edenia with their courses set for the outer parts of the Inner and Middle Ring. ’At this rate,’ he thought to himself, ’they won’t get to the Middle Ring in time. They should have left earlier. We still have time.’ Wearing a smile on his face, Lord Grania returned to his ship and broke down his plan to Skyler. At first, the young woman was hesitant for several reasons but the first was because it risked her life. However, because of how "convincing" Lord Grania was, she agreed to follow through reluctantly. Once the two agreed on what to do, they waited patiently with Lord Granai sitting at the topmost part of the moon’s surface while Skyler let her energy flow as wildly as it could. As she did so, Lord Grania mediated in silence. Eyes closed, the Ethisian remained awfully quiet which was out of character for him, but this was a part of the plan. For nearly the equivalent of a full day, Lord Grania mediated while Skyler released as much energy as she could...until something happened. "Ready yourself," Grania declared to the young woman, their eyes taking note of a few ships heading their way, "seal your energy and hide somewhere. Do not come out until I tell you to."
