A loud ringing sensation pulsated in Grania’s ears while his vision focused and unfocused immediately. The Granian’s body ached intensely, so much so that he nearly felt paralyzed because of pain. His breathing was labored, his movements were stiff and unstable, and his body trembled in excruciating amounts of pain. Despite this, the Granian Lord was tougher than most. Even though he had plummeted from the sky at an alarming speed, he had endured worse before. Besides, his war-torn body had grown accustomed to such...but getting used to such levels of pain wasn’t an easy task. "Curses..." the Granian cursed under his breath as he rolled his large body to the side, revealing his Ethisian victim. Like him, Ely fell to the ground at an alarming speed. Unluckily, she had the pleasure of breaking most of Lord Grania’s fall. Mind you, the Granian was two and a half times larger than the Ethisian so her condition was worse than his. "We’re still alive..." she smiled wearily and in disbelief. Against all odds, she and Lord Grania survived a fall like that. "...against all odds..." "LORD GRANIA!!" Gravax’s voice rang in their ears, drawing attention to himself...and... "You brought him with you..." "You brought him with you?..." Ely and Grania mumbled in unison and then glared at each other. Quickly, the Ethisian began increasing her energy output, ready to kill Ace there and then but the Granian Lord wasn’t having any of it. A steady fist to her chest, another to her head, and another to her arms rendered Ely temporarily paralyzed...but it wasn’t enough to fully stop her. "Get him way from here!!!" Grania commanded as his body slowly started to heal, but so did Ely’s. At any moment, these two high-level Eneraflux users were going to return to their full strength and if that happened, who could tell what the final outcome would be? "Get Ace away from...here!!" "No," Ely grinned and began the process again, "Let him stay. I want to look at him one more time..." "HURRY!!" Grania’s commands fell on deaf ears. The louder he shouted, the more he was ignored by Lord Gravax who ran to his aid. "Are you deaf...get...Ace...away from..." "Lord Grania," the Granian spoke while separating Grania from Ely, "she’s draining your energy and using it to replenish herself." Follow current novᴇls on 𝔫𝔬𝔳𝔢𝔩•𝗳𝗂𝗋𝖾•𝕟𝕖𝕥 "You made this too easy for me..." Ely laughed as she rose to her feet. Lord Gravax’s "brave" and "patriotic" attempt to save the Granian Lord was the catalyst Ely needed to revive her energy. Why steal energy from a weakened Granian Lord when there’s a perfectly abled Granian? "...thank you for lending me your energy." The High Grade laughed and then Roundhouse kicked Lord Gravax. With most of his energy drained, Gravax was almost instantly knocked unconscious, leaving him at the mercy of the High Grade. Meanwhile, the Granian Lord prepared himself to do whatever he could to get Ace to safety...but how could he? Ely was next to fully healed and he was far from it. Luckily, all hope wasn’t lost for the Granian Lord. The fighter Granian ship’s pilot was on standby, their fingers resting on the fire buttons waiting to fire at the High Grade. As soon as the order was given, the Granian pilot fired heavy rounds at her, the same rounds that could destroy a tank on Earth in only one shot. Would that be enough to kill someone who fell from hundreds of feet and still survived? One could only hope. *BAM* *BAM* *BAM* *BAM* *BAM* A whole round of ammunition was fired at the High Grade without ceasing, creating a large cloud of dust and debris. Thankfully, Lord Gravax regained consciousness, just in time for he and Lord Gravax to see whether the High Grade was killed...or not. ’That should have worked...please, I pray to the gods it worked.’ Grania pleaded while his own body healed a bit faster. If those shots didn’t end the High Grade, he was. "I don’t see her anywhere!!" the pilot said to Ace who flew along with him. "There aren’t any heat signatures...no biome..." "...PULL UP, PULL UP, PULL UP!!!" Ace shouted as he locked eyes with the High Grade who came rushing at them at full speed. At that speed, she was going to tear through the ship instantly...and sure enough, she did. Ely’s eneraflux-powered body pierced through the ship’s body with ease, causing it to split apart and burst into flames. Despite this, neither Ace nor the pilot were killed...an unfortunate fate for the pilot. As soon as his body fell to the ground, the High Grade fell upon him and drained his body of every last ounce of energy he had to spare. Her Eneraflux abilities allowed her to block another’s energy, take it for her, own or lend it to someone else. These were one of the reasons she was considered one of the strongest Eneraflux users by her people. "Lord Grania..." Ely spoke as she approached Ace. With no Blood or Mutant Abilities, the human was weakened by the fall from the ship which injured his human body. "...thank you for making this easier for me. You’ve saved me the trouble of having to look for the human to kill him. "Not only that, you delivered the second one to me...and delivered me to the third one. Once I’m done here, I’m going to kill those last two humans and wear their skins like fabric...just for the fun of it of course." [The Foreign Energy in your body’s expanding] [You are losing Health Points] "Don’t even think abou..." Grania threatened but the High Grade stretched her hand at Ace, increasing her energy output in the process. "Or what?" Ely barked back while her entire body released energy that was channeled to Ace’s body. "Take one more step closer and he’ll die immediately." There was nothing neither Grania nor Gravax could do. Their plan to reduce the High Grade’s energy output long enough for Ace to at least transform and fight back was of no use to them. Even though they had the strength to fight the High Grade, they didn’t want to risk losing Ace in the process. They were stuck...and so was he. "Enough waiting this out," Ely sighed and began doing what brought her there in the first place, "time to die." [Your body has shut down]
