---- Chapter 7 "Juniper, let me explain!" Arnold's voice carried a hint of desperation. 'That really was a misunderstanding. I mistook her for you because I was drunk!" Isneered coldly, my eyes filled with disdain. "A misunderstanding? Arnold, do you take me for a fool? You were with Yasmine for five years. You had countless chances to end it, but what did you do? Not only did you not stop, but you even married her!" My voice trembled, and tears welled up in my eyes. However, I stubbornly refused to let them fall. Arnold's face grew paler. He let go of my wrist and let his hands drop weakly at his sides. "Juniper, I know I was wrong. I really do. But Yasmine and I have been over for a long time. You're the only one in my heart. Please, believe me." I glared at him, turned sharply, and spat, "Arnold, I will never believe you again. Never!" ---- However, just as I tooka step, he grabbed my arm again. "Don't go, Juniper. Just give me one chance-just one! Let me explain, please?" I struggled to break free, but his grip was terrifyingly strong. I glared at him. "Arnold, let go of me! There's nothing between us anymore!" Suddenly, Arnold seemed to snap. He yanked me into his arms, his voice hoarse and wild as he roared, " Juniper, you're coming with me today! If you don't, I'll bring this whole base down with us!" I stared at him in shock. I never imagined he would say something so insane. I looked around-everyone in the base was working hard, unaware of what was happening. These innocent people must not suffer because of me. "Fine. I'll go with you." I took a deep breath and reluctantly agreed. ---- A flash of triumph crossed Arnold's face. He clutched my hand tightly, as if afraid I would escape at any moment. We boarded a helicopter, and as the rotors spun, it slowly lifted into the sky. Isat silently, my eyes cold as I stared at Arnold. He seemed to notice something was off. Just as he opened his mouth to speak, I suddenly stood up and pulled open the cabin door. "Juniper, what are you doing?" Arnold shouted in horror. I looked at him coldly and yelled, "I'd rather die than return to you!" With that, I leapt from the helicopter. The wind howled past my ears. I closed my eyes, waiting for death to come. However, at that moment, I felt someone grab me tightly.
