---- We fell together into the ocean. When I opened my eyes again, I found myself lying on a soft bed, surrounded by familiar decor. I was in Arnold's villa. I tried to get up, only to find a cold metal cuff around my wrist, the other end shackled to Arnold's wrist. As he sat beside the bed, his eyes were filled with madness and obsession. "Juniper, you're finally back," he whispered, reaching out to touch my cheek. I turned my head away in disgust. "Arnold, let me go! This will only make me hate you more!" I struggled to get out of the cuff. Arnold only smiled bitterly. "Juniper, I won't let you leave again. This time, I'm going to keep you by my side forever." He stood up, walked to a corner of the room, and ---- picked up ahammer. Not knowing what he intended, I stared at him in shock. "Juniper, this is my punishment for not saving you back then." With those words, he smashed the hammer into his left arm. "Ah!" T let out an alarmed cry as I watched him collapse in pain, his arm hanging limp. "Arnold, are you insane?" I tried to help him, but he pulled me back into his arms. "Juniper, please forgive me. I know I did you wrong." He looked at me with pleading eyes, but I just turned away coldly. From that day on, Arnold changed completely. Every day, he had his men flog him 99 times with a barbed whip. With each one, he would ask, "Juniper, do you forgive me now?" ---- I watched him in silence, emotionless. My heart had been shattered beyond repair. He even dragged Yasmine out of the basement to share in the punishment. Yasmine screamed and sobbed hysterically, but Arnold didn't even glance at her. His bloodshot eyes remained fixed on me. "Juniper, can't you see what I'm doing for you? Please, forgive me." Istill said nothing while I stared at them. I was like a puppet-cold, numb, hollow. I didn't know what other mad things Arnold would do, but I knew one thing for certain-my heart had died the moment he betrayed me.
