---- Chapter 5 Ivy's POV The day I left Owen, I actually saw the arsonists Ashley had hired, lurking suspiciously near the villa. So, I took the fire as a chance to return to my own pack. At the same time, it burned away all the memories that had caused me so much pain. Back in my pack, I finally felt warmth again after so long. The pack members were overjoyed at my return and kept me company through many happy days. "Ivy, quick, look at the news! Alpha Owen just sent Ashley to prison!" On the news, Owen no longer looked as polished as he used to. His hair was a mess, and dark circles weighed heavily under his eyes. I never expected Owen to have the heart to send ---- Ashley to prison. Even more unexpected was the fact that Owen publicly declared that I was his only Luna in this lifetime. If I had heard him say that back then, it would have made me happy for days. But now, it didn't even stir my heart in the slightest. I calmed myself and refocused on my own life, taking back leadership of my pack. Though I was a little rusty, my past experience quickly helped me restore order and get everything running smoothly. During that time, I heard Owen had been venturing into dangerous forests every day to find witches, all to repair my shattered message crystal. He didn't seem to care even when a rebellion broke out within his pack. Some people started calling Owen a man devoted ---- to his love, and they wrote songs about the love between Owen and me. Others even wrote books about it, turning Ashley into an evil, scheming witch. Whenever I had some free time from my duties, I'd read those amusing stories to pass the time. But I never expected to meet the main character of those books again at the Werewolf Council. We had introduced a new policy that required the approval of the council. Since my disappearance, Owen had basically abandoned his responsibilities, and news of him skipping council meetings was seen daily. Yet, that day, an unkempt Owen was brought into the council by his pack elders. I could see that broken message crystal still clutched in his arms.
