Anton’s squad continued fighting with the dungeon monsters from the 30th floor of the Beginner Dungeon while Captain Leonard meticulously studied each of the squad members’ every move. The captain seemed like he never stopped writing in his notebook. Anton only had to move once or twice that afternoon, and that was only to save someone from getting injured by an unnoticed attack. Most of the time, Anton was bored out of his mind since he wasn’t doing anything but staring at everyone’s boring fight. If he were with his family, he would have summoned his summons, then set up his small tent on top of his Dire Bear, and spend the rest of his time immersed in his Diablo II system, but he couldn’t do that at that moment since he had to show everyone that he was attentive to not offend them. Thankfully, once Captain Leonard felt like he had enough data, he concluded the dungeon delved even though they hadn’t completed conquering the floor and commanded everyone to exit the dungeon. Everyone knew that the purpose of the delve was for each captain of each squad to learn the extent of their squad members’ abilities so they could formulate strategies. The next scheduled dungeon delved was on the ninth day of training, and after the tenth day, they would all be given one rest day to say goodbye to their families and then their off to the outskirts of the kingdom of Mendoza to fight with the Undead Coalition. Once they returned to their dormitory, it was already time for dinner, and while they were eating, everyone talked about their experience inside the dungeon. No one mentioned anything about Anton’s abilities since there were hundreds of people in the mess hall, and Squad 13 had an unspoken agreement to keep Anton to themselves because having an extremely powerful member was insurance for each one of them. Anton understood his squad members' thinking, since everyone wanted to return from the war alive, even though, in his opinion, everyone was still underestimating the Undead Coalition. “And this is without them knowing I can heal and cast support buffs,” Anton thought amusedly. During the next few days, their training almost became routine. They would do some sort of cardio exercise for an hour, then lessons about combat strategy, and then lessons about army rules and regulations. After that would be lunch, then more combat exercises, then lessons again, then combat strategizing again, then dinner. On the ninth day of training, all of the formed squads returned to the dungeon to apply all the strategizing they had learned, and then on the tenth day, each squad finalized its combat strategies. After ten days of training, everyone was given one day of leave. Everyone was supposed to go to the East Gate to meet up, then they would proceed to the kingdom of Mendoza. Anders kept talking to him and informed him of Anna’s situation in the academy. Unfortunately, Anton’s sister wasn’t given any time off to return home to say goodbye to him. The celebration lasted all day. In the middle of that, the family met in Anders’s office to talk about the manor’s businesses. The focus was on the cinema that would open after a couple of weeks. According to Mr. Jenkins, the advertisement for the cinema was effective, and thousands of people couldn’t wait for the cinema to open. Anton wasn’t surprised that the first movie that the cinema would show was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. A lot of people had seen the films already, and those who did couldn’t keep their mouths shut about the films. The only ones who were disappointed about the film choice were Luna and Alfred, since they said that they had gotten tired of the Harry Potter films. The family couldn’t help but open with Harry Potter since there was already merchandise available related to the films, like costumes and accessories. At least, now the merchants who didn’t know the movie would be able to explain properly what kind of items they were selling. Anton wondered why he wasn’t more excited about the movies’ propagation and the cosplay culture that was growing near the area where they lived. Was it because everything reminded him of the friends that he had lost when the ship Amelia was destroyed? He knew he wasn’t that sentimental. Was it because of the looming attack of the Undead Coalition that everyone seemed to ignore? But when he was on board the ship, they were on the run from the coalition. He just couldn’t fathom why he couldn’t get more excited about the event that was happening, especially since Anton was still the source of the films. He thought about it deeply and theorized that maybe because he had recently seen the movies that everyone was getting excited about. Maybe if the movies were something he hadn’t seen before, he could be excited, but then again, maybe the fact that he would be leaving soon added to the noninterest that he was feeling. Anton felt that if the Undead Coalition was truly resolved, he could focus all of his attention on the cultural exchange with Earth. He realized then that the fact of the matter was, he wasn’t sure that the Undead Coalition would truly be defeated. He and his family had been running for so long, and the undead had traumatized him deeply that there was already a deep-seated fear in him regarding the undead, and he was ashamed of that fear. He thought that maybe that was also the reason why he wanted to be on the front line in the fight against the undead. Anton did not forget to drown the garden and the fruit orchard in mana water. At least those two fields would still yield enough products for two more months before they start declining. He knew, though, that even if the flower shop and the fruit orchard business declined, the cinema theater would produce enough gold coins to sustain the manor and possibly enrich it further. The movies he had already shared with the family were enough to last for several months, even if they opened a second cinema, especially if they were going to show just one movie a month. He knew that the family already had detailed plans regarding the advancement of the cinema business and possible side business related to film, but he did not involve himself with that. He knew that his father was also not involved in himself too much and was still focused on dungeon delving. The next day, Anton said goodbye to everyone again, and this time, the reaction of the family was more mellow, even though this was the true goodbye, at least compared to when he left for training. It was just that no one expected that those who were recruited to Ormunda’s Special Forces would be given a day off. Anton arrived on time to meet with his squad just outside the East Gate. After a couple more hours, the Special Forces army began marching. He smiled when he saw everyone’s movement. Even though they were wearing uniforms provided by Ormunda, they were not marching like soldiers. They looked like a huge number of people going somewhere. Even though everyone complained that they were not given horses or any animals that they could ride to use, they did so internally since that information was already shared with everyone the day before. After a couple of hours walking, Anton got tired of walking and just started levitating using his Telekinesis spell. He did so at a low enough height that it was not noticeable, and only his squad members noticed. His squad member muttered enviously at him, though.
