Chapter 6 Reporters thrust cameras at her with flashing lights while police threw her some clothes and cuffed her hands behind her back to the bed. "We're police officers." "What's your relationship with that man in the room? Do you know each other? What were you doing in this room? Someone reported illegal sexual transactions taking place here!" Sage shouted loudly: "Can police just arrest anyone they want? I'm the owner of this place! I'm going to sue you! Where's Kai?" Kai was also pinned to the ground by officers, but he didn't dare speak. Only when Sage started complaining of stomach pain did he reluctantly speak up: "Wait, we know each other. This is my place." Only then did Sage manage to stand up. "You hear that, officers? You've made a mistake!" The officers looked around suspiciously-the photo on the nightstand was clearly of Kai and me together. He picked it up and asked Kai: "So who's this woman?" Kai looked at his father's knife-like glare and said quietly: "That's my fiancée." He quickly pointed at Sage and added: "Her and me! We're just ordinary friends!" Sage strode over and pointed to her stomach: "Kai, are you confused? Ordinary friends knocked me up?" A deep male voice roared from the doorway: "What did you say?" My dad walked in holding my hand, and seeing the scene before him, his years of investigative experience told him most of the story. I wiped away tears and leaned on his shoulder, catching a glimpse of Kai nearly collapsing from weak knees. Kai tried to grab my hand, but my dad swatted him away. 'Don't touch my daughter!" My dad surveyed the scene, seeing Officer Westwood intentionally hiding behind the crowd with avoidant eyes, and spoke with authority: 'Westwood, today I'm not speaking to you as your supervisor, but as a longtime comrade-in-arms and soon-to-be in-law!" 'Is this the fine son you've raised?" This statement caused an uproar. Turns out the naked guy wasn't just the vice squad captain's son, but also the police chief's future son-in-law. The other colleagues could only exchange meaningful glances at this explosive gossip. Officer Westwood had wanted to pretend he didn't know Kai, but now that his supervisor and in-law had called him out directly, he had to step forward. He kicked Kai in the thigh, and when he didn't kneel, kicked him several more times. "What have I taught you all these years? You haven't learned an ounce of propriety or shame!" Then pointing at Sage's nose while berating Kai: "For this kind of trashy woman, you'd betray Raven?" He quickly ran to my father, bowing and scraping: "Chief Martinez, work aside, I wronged you and wronged Raven. I'll definitely teach this boy a lesson!" He must be extremely anxious inside now. He'd thought becoming the chief's in law would help his career, but now Kai had ruined everything. But my dad wouldn't even look at him: "How you discipline your son is none of our business. I think we shouldn't become in-laws after all!" "Originally when my daughter brought your son home, I thought since we were colleagues who knew each other well, it would be a good match!" "Now I see I was completely wrong! He deserves to be mixed up with this kind of person!" Sage got even more annoyed and rolled her eyes at my dad: 'What do you mean, old man? What kind of person? Your daughter just isn't good enough-whose fault is that?" 'And Uncle Westwood, I'm carrying your family's seed. I haven't even asked you for money, but you're calling me trashy?" she kicked Kai: "Kai, say something!"
