---- I chuckled bitterly. I finally understood that it was Camila's idea for me to be tortured in the mental asylum. I stumbled and tried to leave. I did not want to explain myself because Jason would not believe me. I could not stay for long either. The dizziness and the fear were washing over me. My stomach was churning as well. I had to run. "Jason, what are you doing?" Ted ran over and shoved Jason aside, pulling me in his arms. "Why are you only listening to Camila? Madeline isn't that sort of person!" Ted was panting. Had he been running around looking for me? Before Jason could say anything, Ted brought me up to the top floor once more. "I only have a basic first aid kit here. Your face is swollen. What should I put on it?" ---- He looked around the first aid kit but couldn't find anything to help with the swollen face. "Don't worry about it. It'll go down in a while," I said calmly. The slap was nothing compared to the torture I went through. Ted stopped what he was doing and sat next to me. I subconsciously retreated, but he sat closer to me once more. "I never thought that Jason would do this to you. You're his sister." I smiled bitterly. "Am I? I'm just some servant that they adopted. I call his mother Mrs. Lacroix." Ted patted me on the head, trying to comfort me. I was no longer that apprehensive toward Ted, since Jason had already found out about me. I would just have to hide from him. If I could not hide from him, that was just my life. I was done with it. ---- "Madeline, don't say that. You're his sister."
