Juliana stood with her back to the window. "I called Winora, and she said you've been so busy with work that you haven't even had time for dinner. I was worried your stomach would hurt, so I brought you something to cat." It was stuffed rolls from Sebastian's favorite place just around the corner. Juliana opened the box. But the taste he usually loved suddenly made him feel sick. Maybe it was just his mood. Even his appetite had taken a hit. Sebastian pushed the box aside. "I'm not eating. Put it away." He pressed a hand to his forehead and closed his eyes, looking tired. Juliana hesitated, then leaned into his chest. When Sebastian didn't push her away, she wrapped an arm around his waist and rested her cheek against him. His scent pulled her in, and she couldn't resist it. Juliana knew the one who had really helped her back then was Anastasia. Sebastian had only put his name on it. She had always known. But she would rather pretend and use that as an excuse to stay close to him. Because she had fallen for Sebastian, and she didn't know what else to do. The second he felt her touch, Sebastian opened his eyes. A flash of coldness passed through them. "Winora, drop her off at the next intersection." Winora, who was driving, glanced in the rearview mirror and said, "Yes." Juliana froze, shocked. "Sebastian, can't I stay tonight..." He looked at her, his tone firm. "Juliana, we've reached." And just like that, Sebastian left her at a random intersection. She stood there, watching his car disappear into the distance, stomping her foot in anger. It was all Anastasia's fault. She had made him mad, and now Juliana was paying for it too. 424 "You asked me out here just so I could watch a show?" 1/3 2:08 pm D DDD. Winston sat in the tea lounge, looking through the glass at Anastasia and Sebastian arguing outside. He couldn't hear what they were saying, but Anastasia's red eyes said enough. She cared about Sebastian, and the two had just fought. The thought made Winston's face darken. He walked out, staring at her from a distance. He stood against the light, sharp and cold. When Anastasia turned around, all she saw was the glow of light behind him. Her eyes were wet, her vision blurry. She blinked hard, feeling the weight of his presence. "Sorry, you had to see that." She quickly pulled herself together, forcing a smile. "Want some coffee? My treat." Winston looked at her tear-stained eyes, his voice cold. "Who drinks coffee at this hour?" Anastasia pressed her lips together. "Then, maybe a drink? We can talk about the acquisition while we're at it?" His eyes stayed locked on her, his face hidden in the shadows. "You just got out of the hospital with gastritis. Did you already forget? You're really going to drink? Planning to end up in the hospital again tonight?" Unbelievable. Drinking to get over a guy, and dragging him along as her drinking buddy. Winston frowned. "You love him that much?" "What?" Anastasia froze. His last words were so quiet, and the wind picked up just then. She didn't catch it. Winston lifted his eyes, half-smiling. "I don't feel like talking about the acquisition tonight. Another time." He turned as if to leave. Anastasia frowned. He had come all this way, the mood was already set, and now he didn't want to talk? Just then, Winston's phone rang. He saw it was Gemma and frowned. He answered. "Don't start with the suicide threats again I've heard it a hundred times. Using the same excuse over and over-aren't you tired of it? Gemma sat on the couch at home, holding a marriage certificate, grinning from ear to ear. "Winston, congratulations, you're married! The words hit him like a punch, leaving him speechless. 2/3 2:08 pm DD DD. "What the hell? His brows pulled tight. "Are you dreaming, or have you gone crazy waiting for me to come home?" Anastasia glanced at him curiously. From the way he sounded... was that his girlfriend? Gemma chuckled. "I went to Elevare Abbey today to pray for your marriage. And guess what? It worked! The girl's fair-skinned and beautiful, very proper-looking. I went ahead and made the decision for you-I married her to you! Winston, you have a wife now!" To Winston, this wasn't good news. It was a disaster. "Wife? Are you kidding me?" He glanced at Anastasia, then quickly walked a few steps farther to make sure she couldn't hear. Anastasia watched his back, stunned. So he does have a girlfriend. They even live together. Then, why had he kissed her that day? Just to flirt? She frowned, her expression heavy. She hadn't known much about Winston. Could it be that deep down, he was just a player? B 3/3 2:08 pm DDDD. The Rose Who Chose His Rival Over Him
