Wearing an apron, Juliana turned around with a smile. "Sebastian, you drank too much last night. The bar manager called me, so I brought you home." She stuck out her tongue playfully. "It was so hard carrying you back. My arms are still sore." Sebastian turned away and poured himself a glass of water. After finishing the warm water, his dry throat felt a lot better. Then he suddenly asked. "Did you sleep in my bed last night?" Juliana froze, then quickly said, "You insisted I stay... You even held my hand..." Really? Sebastian frowned. Last night, drunk and half-asleep, he had dreamed of Anastasia. He probably mistook Juliana for her. Just then. Juliana lifted the lid off the pot, and the steam burned her hand, making her yelp. Sebastian's face changed as he rushed over. "What happened?" "I'm fine," Juliana bit her lip. "I was just worried your stomach would hurt when you woke up, so I made some porridge." Her face showed caution, like she was afraid of upsetting him. For some reason, Sebastian suddenly thought of the year Anastasia first moved into the Kairos Residence. She had been an heiress who had never cooked before, yet she woke up before dawn the next day to make porridge for the whole family. When he asked her why, Anastasia gave him a bitter smile. "Because I'm not an heiress anymore. Now that I'm living under someone else's roof, what if your parents kick me out for not being useful?" She had said it half-jokingly, but since they had grown up together, Sebastian could hear the carefulness in her tone. He had felt so sorry for her that he treated her even better after that, even telling the servants not to let her into the kitchen again. But then he remembered Anastasia's proud face last night, and his chest filled with frustration. He really had spoiled her. Now she was giving him attitude. Juliana brought our the porridge and set it on the table, along with two small side dishes. Sebastian's stomach wasn't feeling great. He hadn't eaten the night before and had drunk on an empty stomach The porridge was light and sweet, and as he ate, his frown slowly cased. He hadn't expected Juliana's cooking to be this good. 2/3 2:08 pm DDDD. Juliana came out of the kitchen and hurried to leave, "Sebastian, I'm going to be late for work. The buses are packed during rush hour, and the station is pretty far from here." Sebastian looked up. "Why rush? Sit down and eat with me." This house hadn't had any warmth in a while. Three floors, four stories, and only him living there-it was quiet enough to feel suffocating. Juliana froze, surprised he wanted her to stay. "But I just started at my new company a couple of days ago... "I'll drive you later." Sebastian just wanted someone to talk to, to take his mind off things. Juliana, however, felt secretly delighted. As they chatted, Sebastian asked, "So you changed jobs? How's it going?" Juliana nodded. "My coworkers are nice, and the company's pretty big." "What's it called?" "Everton Group." Sebastian froze, set down his spoon, and stared at her in surprise. () 3/3 2:08 pm DDDD. The Rose Who Chose His Rival Over Him +8 Pearls
