---- smashing the headstone in a frenzy. Gasps rose around me, but no one dared stop a Luna ina blind fury. Strike after strike, but the stone didn't budge. I broke down in uncontrollable sobs. Then, a roar laced with the authority of an Alpha came from behind. "Victoria! What do you think you're doing?" Ethan stood there with Sophia beside him, her wide eyes staring at me like I was some kind of monster. As [hurled the tool at them without hesitation, the sharp metal grazed Ethan's forehead, and blood began to trickle down. Sophia shrieked, sending birds flying from the trees. Danger flickered in Ethan's amber eyes, but I didn't flinch. I stood tall in front of him and demanded, "Ethan! ---- You knew he was the one who killed my mother! How could you? How dare you?" I bit back my tears, but Sophia started crying first. "Dad just wanted to be buried with your mom... What's so wrong with that? If you want to be mad, be mad at me! Dad realized his mistakes before he died. He asked me to look for you two-" "Enough!" I couldn't take it anymore. Iraised my hand, only to have Ethan block it. Sophia shrank back behind him. "You think I'll let you hit her again?" He growled. However, the sharpness in his eyes seemed to dull just a bit-he must have seen the scar in my palm. "Let the past go. If you could just be a little more understanding, we could still be like we were before." My eyes burned red with fury as I stared at the man in front of me. Every inch of his face used to be a treasure I held close ---- to my heart. Now, it couldn't stir even a sliver of love -only hate. "First, it was Joy. Then, it was my mother. You think we could ever go back to how things were? What am I to you, really?" I spat. He let go of my hand in an instant, his face tense and rigid. I didn't look back. Instead, I turned and walked away.
