Chapter 16 For the next two weeks things went really well for Peter and Naomi. They were getting into a routine in the morning of a coffee together in the buildings café before work and a catch up. Peter found so long as the words 'Theon', 'Halfmoon Pack', 'rejection' or 'mate' didn't enter the conversation then it was just like wiren they were kids again. Also spending time together on the weekends, Naomi had even gone as far as letting him meet Alex and although Alex was shy at first he was fascinated by meeting someone who knew mommy since she was a child. He had also not seen his mother that relaxed around anyone else except his Aunty Lottie so he easily accepted him and called him uncle Pete. Peter was sat in his office on the Monday morning after coffee with Naomi when his phone rang and he saw it was Alpha Theon calling him. "Good Morning Alpha" Peter answered and greeted him "To what to I owe this pleasure?" "Gamma Peter. How is LA treating you?" asked the Alpha "It is good Alpha but I cant imagine that's why you called?" Peter laughed at his friend "Actually, I wanted to let you know I am in LA and will be at your office in an hour." Theon said casually, not realising his words had just made Peters blood run cold "You're coming to the office now?" Peter asked gripping the phone "Why?" "Well, I own the business so I can come and go as I please" said Theon sounding slightly displeased at being questioned "I also want to come see you and talk to you in person about the border guards' case" Peter nodded even though no one could see him. All he could think about was warning Naomi. Luckily, she was leaving the office in a minute to take Alex to a doctors appointment so at least she would be out of the building when he arrived. "That's great Alpha, I will start preparing your office for you. How long will you be with us?" "At least a week it looks like, I have some other business in LA and I will use the office as a base." Theon said disconnecting the call. Peter put his head down on the desk and took a few slow breaths. Then he picked up his phone and called Naomi to warn her. "Naomi, are you still in the office?" asked Peter "Well hello to you too" said Naomi laughing at his rush. "I am just leaving now. Why?" "Well" said Peter thinking how to phrase it. "Alpha Theon is on his way to the office. He will 15 Bonus be here in an hour" Naomi was calm at the other end of the phone, "It's okay. He wont recognise me and he wont scent me" "How are you so calm?" asked Peter "It's okay. Artemis said to be calm. I always listen to her. Deep breaths Peter. We are good okay?" Naomi said reassuringly. "I have to go but try and keep breathing Pete." Peter just sat staring at the device in his hand. He had a horrible feeling that Naomi was being far too over optimistic about this and that Alpha Theon's arrival was going to be an upheaval. P Comments Support Share
