Chapter 8 Chapter Eight : It's Impossible Part Two Kayden POV : Fuck ! Fuck ! Fuck ! We had found , we had finally fucking found her , our mate and ann queen , but she was a pup ! Was the goddess playing some cruel trick on us ? How could this be ? How was this even possible ! Her honey and roses scent drove me and my wolf crazy ; goddess , she smelt terrific , but the fact remained that she was just a pup , and by the looks of it , she was either nine or ten years old . Fuck ! We both were royally fucked ! No wonder we had never found her . She probably wasn't even born when we turned eighteen , or maybe she was ; I didn't know for sure , but there wis no doubt that our pup mate could be older than ten years of age . That meant we would have to go without our mate and Luna queen by our side for more than half a decade because taking a chosen was never in the cards anyway , but now that we know who our mate is , even the thought of taking another she - wolf as our mate and luna had my wolf and he wanting to wage war . Goddess ! Why ? Was this karma for treating those she - wolves like whores ? I didn't know . However, pushing all the negative things aside , I couldn't help but gawk at my adorable pup of a mate ; she had shoulder- length blonde hair plaited into two braids and turquoise blue eyes that were shimmering with tears . My heart constricted when I noticed her tears gathered in her eyes . She seemed scared of our wolves as well . Fuck ! We looked ruthless in wolf form ; she was probably scared But what was she doing in the middle of the forest all alone ? Where were her family ? The thought of our mate alone and scared by herself here made me angry . What kind of parents did she have , that they let a pup her age wander all by herself in unknown territory . Her parents were either an alpha or beta couple since only ranked wolves had been invited to the coronation ; I needed to find who they were to ensure my mate was brought up under the best care possible . Now that I knew who she was , nothing would stop Jayden and me from ensuring our little pup had the best of the best ! We should shift back ; we're probably scaring her . I mind - linked layden . He looked at our little mate with so much love that it could melt anyone's heart . Like me , Jayden craved our mate , and now that she was here , albeit it was going to be a while till we hate and be together , we knew she would be worth the wait . My mindlink snapped him out of thought , his wolf looking at me and nodding . Yeah , but we should make sure e there are some clothes around , ayden replied . He was right ! In the excitement and shock of finding our mate , totally forgot we would be butt - ass naked when we shifted back to our human form , and our little mate was still a pup ; she didn't need to see our goddess - given blessings right now . We were broken out of the conversation when we heard the softest voice meek out to us . " Are you the warrior guards here to take me away ? I was trying to win a bet against my friends so they would stop calling me a baby , but I got lost ; I promise I didn't do anything bad . " Our little mate said , sniffing , rubbing the back of her palm against her nose , preventing it from running . I couldn't help but coo at her . She was adorable ! Goddess ! She was perfect ! Apologizing to the goddess for questioning her earlier and thanking her for finally leading us to our mate , even if she was just a mate and we had to wait , I was still grateful that we had found her . Jayden and I walked closer to her in wolf form , crouched low so she could see we weren't 1/3 Chapter 8 being hostile . She flinched for a second but recovered quickly and walked closer to us with her hand outstretched towards our heads , Intrigue shining in her eyes . Judging our reaction , s took another step closer and petted both mine and Jayden's Heads . Our little mate was a smart one ; she knew how to approach unknown wolves . You guys are very pretty , just like the beast in beauty and the east . Everyone thinks the beast was ugly , and belle was dumb to fall in love with him , but I don't think so . I thought the beast was very handsome ; he was even prince . " Said our little mate . I wasn't sure what she was talking about , but whatever it was , it made her smile , and that was all that mattered . I would have to ask her what she meant once I was in human form again , goddess , I wanted to know everything about her , ber likes , dislikes , her life back in her pack , everything . " You guys are pretty big for warrior guards , even bigger than analpha . I would know I've been reading wolf biology from my pack library back home . " Our little mate salt , proud of herself for her sense of wolf biology . Our mate was so young but read books that were not even for her age . She was Indeed a smart one . She knew the difference between an alpha and royal , though I don't think she figured out we were the princes yet , but with how smart she was , I believed she would soon figure it out . Goddess ! She's adorable , Kay ! Mindlinked Jayden ' I know and very smart . " I replied . I know she knows the protocol about approaching unknown wolves and the differences between alphas and royals , and she probably isn't even eleven years old yet . Said Jayden , as impressed as I was by our little mate . By the way , do you know what she was talking about when she mentioned a belle and a beast ? " I asked . ' Nope ! I plan to ask her once we're back in human form , though . Maybe there are her friends or something . " Said Jayden . Crap ! I thought he knew , it would've been easier to start a conversation with her then . When we were about to turn around to go behind a tree and shift , we heard two voices yelling out a name , kiki , which had our little mate stop petting us and turn her head towards the voices . So her name was kiki , it was adorable as her . Just as she was about to say something , two figures emerged - one of a pup I didn't know , and the second was that of our little brother , Rex . What was he doing here ? " Kiki , are you okay ? We've been looking everywhere for you , " Sad Rex , This had our little mate pulling back from us and running to go hug the other pup , which had me and Jayden snarling . We knew they were kids , but the thought of our mate - seeking comfort from anyone other than us didn't sit right with our wolves . Hearing us snarl , all three pups stiffened are turned in our direction . " Don't worry , they're nice ! They found me ." Said our little mate , consoling the pup holding on to her . Realization swept through Rex and called out to us . " Kay and Jay , what are you guys doing here ? Shouldn't you be in the throne room with mom and dad ? " Rex said . " Guys , don't worry , these are my big brothers I was telling you about , who will be our kings tomorrow , " Rex told our mate and the other pup . The entire time mine and Jayden's eyes never left our mate and that pup . They seemed close . Even though our mate had 2/3 Chapter 8 calmed down after what Rex sald , but the other pup didn't .
