---- Chapter 14 Becky's POV Alpha David's jaw tensed, his aura flaring slightly. "You're jumping to conclusions, Becky." I folded my arms tightly, holding back the growl in my throat. "Oh, am I? Then enlighten me-what should I be thinking instead?" He exhaled sharply, clearly agitated. "You vanished from the pack without a word. What did you expect me to do?Dorian's grown attached to Kiera-she's been acting like his mother. Making the bond official just felt... logical." I scoffed, baring my teeth slightly. "Do what you want. You don't owe me a damn ---- thing, Alpha." A soft beep came from his pocket. He glanced at his phone and grimaced. "T've got a council meeting. I'm late." Kiera gave a syrupy smile, venom hiding just beneath. "Tl stay behind with Becky." Alpha David nodded and strode into the council house, his scent fading as he disappeared inside. The second he was out of sight, Kiera dropped the pretense. Her smirk twisted. "Feels great, doesn't it? Eight years and you're still not the Luna." I rolled my eyes. "Spare me the drama, Kiera."
