14 The Donna Enzo POV We pull up to the warehouse we call the dungeon. Part of me wants to order Luciana to stay in the car, which I know will just piss her off, but the bigger part of me wants to see how she'll act in the warehouse. I have no idea how much of our world Don Rizzo has truly exposed his daughters to. I know she knows who we are and what we do, but knowing and seeing are very different things. My father would be horrified if he knew I had brought her here. He believes women don't belong in business. Up until now, I pretty much agreed. I'm still not completely sure how I feel about her being here for the interrogation. That's why I ensured only my loyal men are present today. The door to my car opens and I step out. I offer Luciana my hand, and she takes it without hesitation. She knows that despite where our relationships stands we have to present a untied front in all ways to not show weakness. 型 I was shocked when she changed into a pair of fitted black jeans and a black t-shirt back at the hotel. We walk toward the warehouse, surrounded by my men and her personal guard. He doesn't seem to be phased by her being here, so I think my father knew even less about a man he considers his boss and friend than he realized. He would be horrified to know that Luciana has any knowledge about interrogations or business. We step into the warehouse and a man that doesn't even look familiar to me hangs from chains. It looks like Bruno started the fun before I arrived. The man's left eye is black, and his lip is split wide open. His chest and abdomen are covered in fresh bruises. "Boss," Bruno says to me before he turns to Luciana and extends his hand. "Donna" he says, before taking her hand and kissing her wedding ring. "Boss, this is Fredrick. He is the one that let the gnat into your wedding reception," he says. He has never liked Amelia and, based on her recent behavior, I'm not her biggest fan either. She would do well to stay away from me and my wife. I see the slight rise of the side of Luciana's mouth as she fights the smile at Bruno's description of Amelia. I nod at Bruno. Before I step toward the man, Luciana does. "Is he one of your men," she asks as she comes to stand in front of him. "He is one of Don Caruso's men, Donna," Bruno answers. What the f**k? A sinister smile spreads across Luciana's face before she pulls her fist back and lands a punch to the pr*ck's face. Blood pours from his nose, coating his teeth and chin. "So did my father-in-law tell you to let the puttana into our receptions," she asks. That can't be right. He was pissed she was there. What would he gain from causing such problems when he has been on my a** about keeping Luciana happy? No, there is no way he had anything to do with this. He wants me to ensure Luciana falls into line, but he doesn't want her pissed. "Of course not, cagna(b**ch). I let her in so you would know your place. You think because you are a Rizzo it makes you special but you are just another woman," he says, spitting blood on the ground. "Enlighten me, stronzo? What is my place?" "Flat on your back pushing out bambino's for your husband. That is all women are good for, and you are no different just because your daddy told you so," he says. Luciana throws her head back and laughs. "How many times did the puttana let you f**k her so you'd let her in to teach me my place," she asks. I look at Bruno before I look back at the pr*ck that won't make it out of here alive today for calling my wife a cana and speaking to her with such disrespect. "Wouldn't you like to know? You can't touch me. I only answer to Don Caruso. In fact, you shouldn't even be
