They had just witnessed Ikki’s defeat of Magellan and were now consumed with the hope that he might set them free. However, some of the most infamous criminals, including former Warlord Crocodile, Douglas Bullet (a former crewmate of Roger), the legendary pirate Shiki, and the vampire-Devil-Fruit user Patrick Redfield, simply looked on with disdain. Ikki surveyed the prisoners before pulling out a strange-looking Den Den Mushi—a rare Super Live Den Den Mushi he had acquired. This special snail could connect to every video Den Den Mushi in the world and broadcast a live feed. Ikki wanted to make a grand statement, to let the entire world know that Gol D. Ace, the son of the Pirate King, was still alive. "All set, Ace?" Ikki asked. Ace, with a sinister smile, replied, "I’m ready!" With a press of a button, Ikki activated the Super Live Den Den Mushi. All across the world, video Den Den Mushi lit up. In the Sabaody Archipelago, a crowd gathered in the square. "Huh? A live broadcast?" one person asked. "Maybe it’s about Roger’s son being captured!" another speculated. At Marineford, a giant screen flickered to life in the Crescent Plaza. The Marines were caught off guard. Lieutenant General Onigumo, a stern man with a smoking habit, roared at the soldiers, "What are you all doing? Is your training over? Get back to work!" The soldiers scattered, and Onigumo immediately contacted Fleet Admiral Sengoku to report the strange event. In his office, Sengoku saw his own Den Den Mushi light up. Realizing the broadcast was happening everywhere, he knew this was no ordinary event. He immediately called the World Government. At the same time, the Five Elders in their meeting room were also surprised to see their Den Den Mushi turn on by itself. The video feed flickered to life, showing the interior of Impel Down. "This is... Impel Down?" one of the Five Elders with a long beard and a sword said. "Yes! And it’s on Level 6!" the other elders agreed, looking on with grim faces. Sengoku stared at his screen, muttering, "Impel Down? Is this some sort of stunt by that Ikki and his evil side of Ace?" On the screen, Ikki appeared, wearing his mask. "Hello, everyone! My name is Mr. Keyboard Man!" He then pointed at the masked Ace beside him. "This is Gol D. Ace. As his name suggests, he is the son of the Pirate King!" He then pointed to another cell. "And this is the legendary pirate, Buggy! One of Roger’s former crewmates!" The world was stunned. "Wait, wasn’t Roger’s son already captured?" one man asked. "This guy must be faking it!" another scoffed. "Who would be stupid enough to pretend to be Roger’s son, and with Buggy, of all people?" Back in Impel Down, Ikki shook his head. "Tsk. No live chat. What a shame." He then addressed the viewers. "I know you’re all wondering why I’m broadcasting this. First, I wanted to announce to the world that the Pirate King’s true son is alive. Second, I’m here to recruit people to assist the new Pirate King!" He then held a carrot like a microphone and began to tour the prison with the Den Den Mushi. "This, for all of you who don’t know, is the infamous Deep Sea Prison, Level 6, where the world’s most dangerous criminals are held." He stopped at a cell. "And who do we have here? None other than Warlord Crocodile!" He addressed the prisoner. "How’s prison life treating you? It’s not too late to join the new Pirate King’s crew!" Crocodile glared at him. Ikki, unbothered, moved to the next cell. "Oh, my! This must be the legendary Golden Lion, Shiki!" he exclaimed. "I heard that Marine Vice Admiral Garp single-handedly defeated you and threw you over his shoulder! Is it true?" He offered the carrot to Shiki, wanting to hear his reaction. Shiki, with a dark look, snatched the carrot and bit it in half. Across the globe, the audience was captivated. The broadcast showed not just Impel Down’s deepest level but also some of the most dangerous pirates in history. People wondered what Ikki’s true purpose was. Was he trying to provoke the World Government and the Marines? Or was he truly going to release these criminals and throw the entire sea into chaos? Marine Headquarters Responds In Fleet Admiral Sengoku’s office, he was with Garp, the three admirals, Tsuru, and other high-ranking Marine Vice Admirals. "Damn it! What is that guy doing?!" Akainu roared, slamming his fist on Sengoku’s desk and denting it. "Whatever their plan is, we have to stop them," Sengoku said. Suddenly, Commander-in-Chief Kong walked in with a direct order from the Five Elders. "Kizaru, Akainu, Aokiji! All three of you will go to Impel Down and work with the Cipher Pol to capture the masked man and the one who claims to be the son of the Pirate King. You are not allowed to fail." The three admirals knew how serious this was. Sengoku and Garp exchanged a glance, their thoughts aligned: That kid Ikki is taking this too far...
