Chapter 13 Walking into his office building Peter was thinking about how clever the seer was. Not only had she helped bust these sick animals and Peter was going to get all these women justice, but she must have known what else was on the footage and was leading him to this important revelation. Seeing is believing, thought I am not sure I believe what I saw, he thought chuckling to himself. When he reached his office, he asked his secretary to call Natalie Lane and ask her to come to his office immediately. As he waited she brought him a coffee, but he didn't know if this was exactly what he needed for his nerves or what was going to push him into an actual heat attack today. Natalie knocked on his door and he ushered her into his office locking the door behind her. At this her eyes went wide, and she looked slightly panicked. Putting out his hands in a calming gesture Peter reassured her, "Nai it's okay, I know everything, and I just don't want anyone interrupting us. I am on your side; I just want to talk to you" Peter could see the panic in Naomi's eyes realising what he just called her. Before she could deny it or flee Peter threw his arms around her and enveloped her in a massive hug and started crying. "I have missed you so much, I have been so worried about you! I thought you were dead" feeling his genuine relief at her being alive and well Naomi relaxed a bit. "It's good to see you too" she said though her own slightly tearful smile. Her acknowledgement of the truth only made Peter hold her tighter like she might vanish if he eased up. "Pete. Kinda need to breath buddy" He let her go and stepped back apologising "How did you know?" she asked "How did I know?!" he exclaimed at her, "You've been missing for three years and that's all you have to say!" he jokingly admonished her. "okay drama queen. Um I am pretty sure I was banished, so I don't think that counts as going missing." Naomi said in an amused tone but it had a bitter edge. "No one actually thought you'd leave though" Peter said "We came to your house the next day with breakfast and milkshakes to cheer you up and talk about what a dick Theon was and you were gone" "Yeah, the exact last thing said to me, By the Alpha was you are banished from this pack leave" Naomi stated looking puzzled. "Why did you think I'd stay?" "To be honest the first day we all kept expecting him to tell us this was some kind of elaborate "I don't think about it and I don't dwell on it so lets discuss something else." She said smiling brightly. "So how did you know?" "You have a second scent of Alpha Theon. Do you have a child?" "Alex." Said Naomi her eyes sparkling with happiness. "The one good thing to come out of all that mess was it turned out when I left I'd been 6 weeks pregnant with Alex. I will change his scent. Thank you." "Well, we can discuss how amazing you look Natalie lane. I like the new look." Peter said gesturing for her to twirl around. "Thanks. Benefits of my computer skills and love of the darkweb is I managed to get a new identity in 24 hours" she smiled sheepishly. "Met some interesting people at that time" "There is something I need to talk to you about though, something serious." Peter said looking Naomi in the eye hoping he wasn't going to trigger a tidal wave of trauma for her. "I have seen the videos that the boarder guards have been making. I saw you in one" Naomi closed her eyes and let out a slow and even breath before opening them again. "Shit. I didn't know they filmed it" she said looking annoyed with herself. "When you say you saw it ....? "Your wolf, yes Naomi, what the fuck was that?" A slow smile crept along her delicate lips and then a bubble of laughter escaped. Naomi looked at Peter and she just looked amused not worried. Not the reaction Peter was expecting at all. "Guess the cats out of the bag then." She said looking visibly relaxed "Sorry I just haven't told a single soul since I was 14, only Mum and Dad ever knew and when they died I couldn't tell anyone and it's a big secret to keep to yourself. For so long" "But Nai, I've seen your wolf, she's small and Brown and looks like a gust of wind can knock her over. The wolf in the video, she was huge and Silver. No ones ever seen a silver wolf. They're a myth." "Oh Peter. I am a myth." Naomi replied shrugging. Writing down her address Naomi said "Tell you what, come to my apartment at 7 tonight and I will tell you everything. It's a quite a story so maybe bring wine" and with that she slipped back out of his office leaving Peter to sit in quite contemplation over what just happened.
