The first set of beasts were finished, and while Ace and Cherry ran for the others, Skyler ravaged through the dead corpses while placing drops of the beast’s remaining blood on her tongue, directly ingesting it. Unlike the first time, Skyler did not feel any changes in her body. The first time, her chest hurt severely, followed by her showing signs of increased violence and feral behavior. Expecting to feel it again, Sky grew rather disappointed and felt disappointed. ’What happened this time? Why is it not working?’ She asked herself. ’Is it because I ingested purely fresh blood last time?’ "ACE!!" Sky screamed at Ace, who was killing the last of the panther-like beasts. "SPILL THAT BLOOD ALL OVER ME, QUICKLY." Confused at first, Ace reluctantly did as the girl asked and quickly shot a thick sludge of blood onto her upper body. As soon as contact was made, Sky’s body was thrust backward vigorously, and certain changes were starting to show. The girl’s body grew and tore through her clothes with her skin turning black. From the sides of her chest came two more beastly arms with deadly claws for fingers. Her cheeks grew two tails, and her knees bent backward, allowing her to develop a spring-like mechanism which enabled her to run faster and jump higher. "She cannot transform into a beast without having a sample of its DNA." Ace answered. "Stand back; the last time she transformed, she went wild." And he was right, for Sky’s golden beastly eyes were fixated on the two blood mutants as her mouth foamed with her long teeth clenching onto each other. Letting out a high-pitched roar, Sky ran towards the two blood mutants with her hands ready to slice at them. With no sense of humanity present, she became completely unpredictable and feral. While running, Skyler’s focus changed to the ostrich-like beasts that charged at her. Two of the beasts fell onto the girl turned beast and pecked at her head with their talons tearing at her flesh. Skyler quickly used her extra arms and shielded her body while the others latched onto their legs. The sound of breaking bones and tearing flesh was heard by those who were close enough, followed by the painful shrills of the creatures. With her blood-filled mouth, Skyler’s body started to change again with her body developing feathers and her legs growing longer. Her muzzle turned into a tough beak, although she still kept the teeth. "Man, look at her go." Cherry marveled at the girl’s vicious behavior. "Was she always back on Earth?" "No." Ace responded. "But if we don’t stop her, her body’s going to shut down. The first time she transformed, she went on a rampage before burning out. She’s ingested two blood types, so the rate of her burning out faster is higher. Let’s hurry." Using their tendrils, Ace and Cherry approached Skyler in an attempt to restrain her. However, the girl sensed their presence and jumped at Ace with her hands aimed for his neck and heart. [Blood Step Skill: Activated.] With a step, Ace quickly moved aside from Sky’s line of action and threw out two tendrils. Meanwhile, Cherry gathered the blood spilled by Sky and made blood spikes, which she later used to finish the ostrich beasts. [Blood Control Skill: Activated.] Not wanting to hurt Sky in his current form, Ace decided to use his blood control skill to suppress and keep her in place. However, Ace’s skill wasn’t strong enough, having only had it for less than two hours, leaving him completely unable to do so. Chomping down on his leg, Sky pinned Ace down and bit down as hard as she could. Ace kicked hard on her beak and managed to set himself free. He then extended multiple tendrils from his back and bombarded her into a net-like trap. "You need to calm down." He muttered angrily as he delivered a blow to the back of her head, knocking her out in an instant. "I need your help here." Cherry shouted with her hands already preoccupied. Looking ahead, the slow-running cow beasts had already gotten closer and were about to run Cherry over. [Blood Sprint: Activated.] [Blood Weapon: Activated] As he deformed back to normal while running to his sister, only keeping his back transformed in order to keep Sky in place. As he ran past the dead bodies of creatures he killed, he gathered enough blood and made two blood spears, holding each in one hand. Ace slaughtered three beasts and ended up at Cherry’s side while still holding Sky’s knocked-out body. With three down, Cherry was able to get some breathing room and killed the rest with ease, leaving them with only the largest but slowest of the beasts. "What’s the plan now?" She asked while also reverting to her human form. "How’re we going to handle this?" "We’ll use our surroundings," he answered. "Use the buildings to your advantage, I’ll find somewhere to put Sky." [Blood Sprint Skill: Activated.] Ace ignored his system’s warning as he climbed onto a high building with his hands transformed. Once he found a good enough spot to put Sky, he jumped back down into the action with his body transforming. Ace fell on top of a beast’s back and attempted to slice its neck. The beast, having felt something fall on it, started jumping up and down and fell on its side, slightly crushing Ace’s leg under its mighty weight. Another beast came running, with the intent of stomping on Ace’s head. "AAAAAAHHHHH" Ace let out a weird display of a war cry while opening his mouth and biting onto the beast which was on top of him. Using his blood drain skill, he consumed the creature’s blood and replenished his lost strength. With the extra blood he had, he used it to make blood spikes which he fired at the charging beast. Knowing that they wouldn’t penetrate the creature’s bone plates, Ace hit its legs, causing it to stumble under its weight and awkwardly land on its neck. [Blood Weapon: Activated.] Quickly morphing the blood into a thick projectile, Ace stabbed the beast he was under and began to drain it. All the blood he collected and redirected to the other in forms of large spikes that dug into its soft flesh, killing the first from extreme blood loss, and the other from excessive injuries
